Swapping a 2014 GT Steering Wheel w/ a '69 Mach 1 Steering wheel
Hey guys, this is actually my 1st time ever posting on the forum, so I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place.
My question is, I was wondering if it is possible to swap my steering wheel from my 2014 GT/CS that I just got, with a '69 Mach 1 steering wheel. If so, does anyone know where I might find instructions in how to do so? Google has not been helpful lol.
Thanks in advance!

IMHO, I don't think a steering wheel from a "69" Mustang Mach 1 would physically fit onto a late model S197.. Even if the size dimensions were identical, there would still be compatibility issues concerning the electronics. For what it's worth, I would recommend contacting speed shops such as Late Model Restoration https://lmr.com/2010-14-Mustang American Muscle https://www.americanmuscle.com/11-13...arts.html?rd=1 and Steeda Autosports https://www.steeda.com/2011-2014-mustang-parts Perhaps they may be able to address your questions in far more detail? Meanwhile, welcome aboard.

Not sure the original stock steering wheel for a '69 would look too good in a S197. I did not like the original steering wheels of the original gen cars even back in the day. With all the tech changes since then, where would you put things. Only one I liked from the first gen cars was the wooden Shelby steering wheel. Good luck and hope you find answers to what you are searching for.

If the splines in the column even line up, you're going to have a million communication codes and error messages in the dash. The steering wheel is a pretty integral part of the newer cars. Depending on model, it's also where the Steering Angle Sensor is. That is an input you do not want to be taking away from the car!
