supercharge or turbo?

So im looking to upgrade my hp but im not sure if to get a turbo or supercharger. I want to keep my stock engine and i also will be traveling once in a while with my club. I need something that wont ruin my engine and that wont make engine heat up. Any suggestions on what to get and what kind?

This is always a subject of opinion... There's a trade off to each... A turbo is more efficient And typically creates more power per psi ( everything being equal) however the systems are more complex because of the plumbing. Turbos are less responsive to low RPM cruising...a supercharger is no more than a belt driven turbo ... Boost is proportional to engine rpm and very responsive ... They however create a parasitic drag and rob power. ( well worth the trade off) so it's all in personal preference ... Myself I love a twin screw style blower on a street cruiser/ occasional track car!

Either way, you can't go wrong. There are lots of reputable supercharger venders, it just boils down to weather you want a twin screw, centrifugal, or a roots. Turbos on the other hand, have fewer reputable vendors. Hellion are by far the best on the market, but there is also some that are complete junk. Which ever you choose just make sure it's one that comes from a quality vendor to save yourself major headaches

Just getting back to this post- Depending on what kind of power level your looking for. If your staying in the 450-525 FWHP range you'd be safe with the stock Engine internals... If your looking to make 6-700+ HP that's another story... You will be upgrading internals ( rods, pistons) as well as fuel system upgrades. The ford racing superchargers are rated at 525w/ warranty and 624 without...
