My VB baby is soon going to be here. I want to get stripes like the auto show car but does anyone have specs of these?

What color? How wide? etc.....

I'm not a fan at all of vinyl so this plans to be a paint job. Any pointers on how to do this? What should be the price range?

I plan on getting the exact same thing done to my car, when it arrives in April. I am even changing the interior, as I too want the contrasting look (plus the dark gets too dusty). In terms of prices, I have heard anywhere from $1,300 to 2,500 for stripes. There are many different variables, width of sttipes, how much you want striped, color, etc. I am getting my car striped, but I work in sales at my dealership, and I can get a deal with out local body shop, who we use for paint repairs, and damage. I'm waiting for the estimate. I would call around to a few highly recommended body shops and get some estimates IN WRITING. Then take it from there. Can't wait to see your car with the stripes. I love the Vista Blue.

 

I did stripes on my Mustang when I bought it back in 2001 and that was the most stupid decision I ever made. Sure, it looks good, but mistake I made is to "tape it on" instead of paint. Now its starting to peel off.

So all of you that want any type of stripes on their cars, be sure to use paint; otherwise, you will regret your decision. Personal experience. Take a good look at rear bumper, that is biggest problem.

DUH!

Umm I tried that. Very hard to search and find something as particular as this when people put in quotes such as "Man, I love those stripes" or "Dude, did you think about getting stripes?" or "I would love to see pics of your mustang after you get stripes put on."

SOOOO.... I decided to start a thread about actually getting your car striped and the process or advice on that particular subject since after SEARCHING I found nothing.

If it's in the wrong section, sorry but again, thanks for the advice! Anything to help out is appreciated!
