MODS--So sorry, I inadvertently posted this in the 2005 forum. Please move it to the proper place. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks.
Received this from my Mustang club president---please pass the word around other Mustang forums and enthusiasts. This sounds like one sweet ride:
Stolen Boss 302 from Portland, Oregon
Please...I need your help!! My 1969 Boss 302 was just discovered stolen from
a Portland, Oregon garage on, or around, August 17, 2005. The VIN is:
9F02G189722 and it has (or had) Oregon historical vehicle plates: CBK526.
The car only has 24,000 original miles on it and is Acapulco Blue w/ black
interior, louvers, a Shaker roof, Magnums and a black, chrome grill. The car
looks like new both inside and out...absolutely original and flawless. I am
the 3rd owner, having purchased it in 1997. There is a
SIGNIFICANT reward for any information leading to the successful recovery of
this vehicle.
Please call me at (503) 203-1852 or email me at: peterbelluschi@msn.com.
Thank you!

Thanks John. Yeah, that really does stink. Hopefully they can recover the car quickly, and in one piece.
An original 1969 Boss 302 with only 24K miles---wow. I've had a car stolen--my first 1965 Mustang, a coupe, stolen back in 1974---and it is a gut wrenching experience. I feel for the guy in Portland.

unfortunately, it is not opportunists that steal cars like this. they are organised criminals. I am sad to say that is probably the last that will be seen of that car, probably on it's way in bits all over the place by now. I know someone who had a H1 stolen (over here they are raaare). it has never been seen since.

man i hope to heck he gets it all back, especially in one piece....
i couldnt imagine an original 24K mile boss 302 chopped up and hacked and crap
tell him to check ebay often, you never know, if they do sell the parts... well then... i think he might recognize em. look for things like "original boss 302 shaker hood scoop" or something like that IN your area, or beter yet, multiple parts from the car being sold thru ebay in your area.
i wish him luck in finding it!
