Dano,

if I do crank up the tunes at Timmy's it will be something like Slayer or Pantera so that the ricers have nightmares...
I'm in for that if you ever decide to do it. I'd love to see the look on their faces.....if I can make them out through the neon lights.

I think I would have to go with the base. I won't be driving to listen to the radio or a bunch of CD's...I'll be driving to drive. Besides, what sound would be better than the engine?!

I voted for the Mach 500. If the only difference between the 500 and the 1000 is the trunk sub box, I'll take the 500. I can see myself needing that extra trunk space someday anyway, and I'm not one who requires too much bass.

6-disc in-dash with MP3 capability? Whoa yeah. I'm all over that. Just as long as it decodes variable bit rate files correctly.

I ALWAYS do my own aftermarket system that would put to shame the 1000 watt shaker system that you would pay extra for.

*Curious*

I've read around and haven't found any prices of the stereo systems...

(From reading here I've found out the 1000 is 1200 )

The base 80 (I assume) comes with the car...

How much more does it cost for the 500?... Depending on the price/sound diffrence between the 80. Thats what I might get, the 500.

Thx

Ill take the base. You can get a much better system for less than the shaker
