Stay away from RPM Outlet!!!

I ordered a C&L cold air kit from RPMOutlet last Monday 3/17. I have received only an email confirmation since then, and I get errors tried to find any information from that. I have tried calling, email, and customer support on their website, but nothing works. If I go through their who inquiry process on the website, I get an automated response that says something about them moving. But after more than a week I can not get any information about the order, other than that they charged my card. Be very careful.

That's weird... they used to be a pretty good resource. Unless I'm thinking of another supplier with a similiar name.

Others have posted in the past that they have had the exact same problem with RPM Outlet. Check the Off-Topic section. I know there are a few in there so you might be able to find out how (or if) they were resolved.

I've read on several forums of dozens of similar incidents with RPM Outlet. Great prices, but buyers beware. I've ordered stuff from them with no problem.

I did just finally got in touch with them. They still weren't much help. He said that they did move the warehouse and that he thinks it might be shipped today. I told them that I expected a tracking number that works before close of business today.

I'm the same experience as Hatchman..... I've ordered several times without problems, but there are literally dozens of people on this site and others that have had big problems. Good luck.

Good Luck and hope it works out. I am very leery of ever buying from them from all I've read!

How does one "think" that an item shipped today?

I've ordered quite a few items from RPM Outlet online for my last couple of Mustangs and have always received great service and prompt delivery of ordered items. I suppose any vendor will always have a few hiccups as we're all human, so I can only imagine there will be isolated incidents for any company, RPM Outlet included.

Well I just talked to them again. They think it might ship today of tomorrow. I still don't know anything about why this is such a big problem.

I finally got the intake yesterday. I go to install it on my brother-in-laws V6, and I am not seeing any difference in it with the "no tune option". I know that was a new option with the C & L intakes. I called C & L, and they said that they don't have a "no tune option" on the V6 intakes. They went on to say that they have notified RPM Outlet of this fact. I see this morning that they have changed that. I called RPM this morning and got a voicemail run around. They will take this thing back, at their cost, and this whole transaction needs to cost me nothing. I also checked the BBB site and they have numerous unanswered complaints. There are many other sites and many other complaints with them as well. Looks like they on the avoid list for me in the future.

I hope you already removed the intake from the car!
If C&L stated that that intake is not a no-tune option, you run the risk of running way lean and possibly damage the engine

I never finished installing it. I am boxing it back up now and am ready to send it back.

I have been looking at all the horror stories about them on the internet, and feel pretty stupid for not checking first. I had ordered from them before and not had any problems.

Good luck in getting your money back. Wish you the best. We should have a banned or bad vendor experience list and make it a sticky!

I have officially been ripped off. They have only responded with their return policy, which is no returns without an RA, and they don't respond to RA requests. I will have to resort to other methods to get satisfaction. STAY AWAY...STAY VERY FAR AWAY!!!
