Sequential tail lights?

Hello... I heard both but am wondering... Did Shelby use sequential tail lights on the 67s or were they all illuminated simultaneously?

I tried to find out. They first got their seq tail lights from the 65 t-bird and in 67-68 maybe longer (not sure) sequentials were illegal in California.

They were legal in all 50 states as of the '65 model year, when Thunderbird was allowed to have them. They were supposed to be on the car in '64, but Ford had to wait.

Ford was always pushing things like that. They also were the first to use Aero headlamps on an American car, specifically for the '85.5 SVO, but more importantly to them, the '84 Lincoln Mark VII.*

As to the question, yes, they did, with tail lamps from a '65 Thunderbird... but I can't be sure as to whether it used '65-6 Tbird cam sequencers or the solid state '67 Cougar sequencers.

/*-The '84 Mk VII was designed with them, and Ford was GOING to use them, but the SVO crew paniced a little and put the big 'regular' lamps in as a hedge in '84

All I know about sequentials is that in 68, I had no Shelby's anywhere near me. I never saw any car with sequentials, until one early evening a 68 Cougar crashed in my front yard with it's turn signals still on. I have loved them ever since. As I remember, the 68 Cougar had 3 sections that seem like they were 4x4 or 4x5 inches each and the blink/flash was very pronounced or defined. (slower than all the ones I've seen today). Oh well, just a memory, like the other day when I went into a Mustang/Camaro store and saw a 67 gas cap (my 1st car) and then there was something for a 73 Mach I (my 2nd car). I almost shed a happy tear.
