I'm hoping to do what your doing in reverse order, I already found an 06' satin silver GT with my name on it!

18,000mi fully loaded with the red seats (sexy as hell in a silver or black car) $16500 obo!!!!!!!

I was hoping to buy a GT500 but the gap in price just doesn't justify the performance gain. A good low mile GT500 will run me at least $36,000... Back in the day Cobras, Mach1s and GT were all within 5-6k of one another.

there both great cars. I know many people with cobras 03-04s....and i always drive my cousins and my best friends...when i was looking at cars it was down to a yellow mach1 03-04,03-04 cobra or a new s197 2006 at the time i was looking for a pony.......it was a really tough choice, i am 6"2 240 lbs so comfort went to the s197.....and it was hard finding a cobra/mach1 in good condition for a reasonable price, insurance was cheaper on the s197, there was a better warranty on a new car ( and trust me I've used it) and at least half of my friends have had IRS issues, which isnt cheap to repair so when ford offered 0. apr for 72 months it was a no brainier.........if you want a fast car get a cobra imo if you want a daily driver get/keep the S197.
Looks is hard to choose but heres some pics heres my cousins car

heres mine

and heres my buddy's cobra....i like driving the vert endless head room lol

Not all the 04' Cobras had the charcoal seat inserts, it was an option. Some, though I admit very few had the graphite inserts in 04'. Also keep in mind that not all 03' Cobras had graphite inserts, mine has tan colored inserts.

Just a little more 03-04 Cobra info to pass on

If you ever decide to swap to the charcoal seats, I'll gladly purchase your current ones and put them in my 97' GT. These have got to be the best seats ever put in a Mustang

Some early 03' Cobras had a TSB, but were fixed under warranty. Yes, you are correct about the different cats. This was done in order to get rid of the gas guzzler tax that the 03 model had.
