SEAT CONVERSION
SEAT CONVERSION
Hi All,
I am wanting to change my 2008 Mustang GT Seats out for a set of 2014 Mustang GT Recaro seats. Is there a conversion harness or plug that I can get to deal with the airbag? The Recaros also have airbags. Thanks in advance.

I think the short answer is NO, because the harnesses and plugs are different . . . you might be able to splice them together, but you would need detailed wiring diagrams to figure that out . . . I was thinking about doing this for my 2010, did some preliminary research which led me to that conclusion, but never fully investigated all the details, there might be a way to make it work
also I think, there are some threads on here with more detailed discussion around this, try the SEARCH and maybe you can find them . . . remember to search "from the top" so you don't miss the sub-forums where those threads might be

Lets get something straight Houtex! Whenever I post this I agree posts, the reason is I agree with what the post responses are in their entirety and feel that I cannot post any better of a response.. As for your ridiculous claim of padding post counts? I don't pay attention nor keep track as to how many post counts are submitted.. As a matter of fact, I wasn't even aware of it, until you just threw it up in my face.. And second, I don't answer to you nor owe you or any other forum members for that matter any explanations behind my post responses.. Therefore, if you find my post response counts or whatever you want to call them as so unnecessary? You can always press the ignore button and be done with it.. And just FYI, I was agreeing with Bert's post which is neither related nor has anything to do with catching Glenn whatsoever lol. That being said, perhaps you ought to get your facts straight before calling out a fellow forum member, so yeah, let's be real here!

I don't think I can do a straight out swap for the 2013 seats to 2013 Recaro seats. I know someone that did it and still has the passenger seat passenger sensor screwing up and the Air Bag Fault when someone is in the passenger seat.
As for the I agree or what he/they said sometimes it makes a person more likely to think positively of the post and the fact you are not posting same info in a different order or trying to add more it is less confusing.

Not to continue to hijack a thread, but...
But I dang well forgot the freakin' smiley, my bad. Dangit. Here, have a few extra!

Edit because I felt the above post was wrong on its own, too flippant. I do not wish to hijack further and will not answer anymore in here. If this needs to continue, someone start a new thread just about it. I will be happy to discuss there. Please let's not make this thread suffer further. Heck, mods, move this sub thread stuff elsewhere if needed, cool with me.
Suffice it to say my quirkiness got away from me and I messed up. I *was* joking... to a point, I'll admit. M05 does 'this' a lot, seems to me. Although I understand how the 'This!' post may reinforce things, there is that 'Like' button that does the exact thing the post does and doesn't add a post. This is what I do instead of any post at all.
But hey, I ain't stumpin' for change or such. If I ruffled feathers because I found it funny to me and messed up, ok, mea culpa. I'll remind myself in the future to not do such things. I'll fail sometimes, but I'll still remind. And in retrospect and reading the responses... I get it. This is in effect the same as a
for the answer to be moved up in the 'New Posts' listing at the very least, and may get the OP to see the answer is good/endorsed by others.
Therefore, 'This!' it is.
I may do some of my own now(*).
Apologies to all especially OP and M05. Carry on.

"you know, I am a brilliant surgeon, I could help you with that hump . . . . hump? . . . .what hump?"
they just don't make 'em like they used to, LOL

icon, its because I don't ever want to give the impression that I'm just reposting the same info in a different manner.. Perhaps this doesn't make much sense to you, but that's just part of how my personality works, therefore, it is what it is.. It has absolutely nothing to do with being concerned over post counts.. For that matter, I'm certainly not the only member on this forum who uses the I agree icon, there's also plenty of others on this site who uses them as well.. As a matter of fact, I've also posted those very same icons on quite a few of your posts as well, and the reason is the same as above, meaning that I don't want to leave an impression that I'm just reposting the same info in a different manner, but rather acknowledge that I totally support and agree with what has already been posted.. As for posting like submissions, yes I'll fully admit that I use them quite a lot as well, which have also been included on quite a few of your posts, so for that, I'm also guilty as charged.. That being said, this will be the last time I'll be providing an explanation along with addressing this issue.. Meanwhile, my apologies for any thread hijacking on my part!
