Running out of Gas
Driving my 2006 Mustang GT, I was going to stop for gas on the way to work yesterday, but because of the rain (and slow drivers) I was already late. So, I went to the first gas station on the way home (and had a guy follow me).
Pulling into the gas station, I pulled up to the pump and then had to back up a bit. As I backed up the car stalled. Either I stalled it, or I ran out of gas right then.
Does it hurt anything to run out of gas in these 2005+ cars? I've heard bad things, but don't know if they are true. After filling up, the car started up instantly.
Just curious about what others know about this topic.
Anybody else run out of gas and either had problems? or have had no problems?

How much is left
I've been close to empty on my 06 GT. Have been under 10 miles to go warning where the gauge turns red, but could only get 15 gallons in the tank at that point. Have done this twice.
Makes me believe that there's a gallon left when the 0 miles indication goes off.

My '69 was like that.
Just don't put more than 240 miles on the trip odometer or you'd be walking.
