Rpm and maybe clutch?

Rpm and maybe clutch?
Been having problems when I really step on the peddle , the rpm will go from 2 to like 5-6 and the car doesnt speed up! Maybe clutch??

It sounds like it could be your clutch. Have you had it adjusted before? That might fix the problem.

Also how does it shift into the gears?

Shift good no problem there , just has no power and revs up with out going

This is a manual tranny right? It is kinda sounding like something that an automatic would do.

Yes manny, it goes but goes from 2rpm then when I press on the gas it shoots up to 4-5 rpm and doesn't speed up
