I'm betting it's #2.. probably overlooked. Torque job sounds easy, should be no problem.

I did get my "TURBOCHARGED" emblems but didn't like them, so I ordered new ones from Moss Mustang. Hopefully they will be better. They'll be here on Monday 3/3, so I'll take pictures of them taped on so we can figure out what looks best.

Also, I'm installed my Mechanical Water Temp gauge fitting into the boss on the passenger side of the intake, right were the water leaves the engine to go to the radiator. I think this is the best place to take an accurate reading, but will also be the most difficult place to install the fitting.

I'll have to drain down the coolant and remove the radiator hose so I can stuff a rag in there to catch the aluminum filings. Then I'll drill a hole and tap it to 1/2" NPT. That's the size of the fitting for a mechanical gauge since a bulb drops down into the intake to measure the temperature.

Did you get it from autobadges.com? If so, what was wrong with them?
I'm thinking about ordering mine today.

I only do it to coerce Leo to the dark side.

I see his wallet creeping open!

George awesome pics, so thats part of the reason your PJ has such a proud price attached................

Jed, you've been somewhat quiet on the mod front, time to step up to the plate again and get some forged internals pal. With all that pocket change you seem to have whats a few more K of spending, right Bill

Here's a pic of Jed forging his own parts in the garage. Attachment 39989

Congrats on the 500 George!
If it weren't for POTR, you'd still be in the double digits.

I got the first set from eBay... they were too cheap looking. I hope the set from Moss Mustang look better. I just looked - the ones from autobadge.com look cheap, too. Wait to see how mine look from Moss... they are $20 a piece, but might look much better.

What are you gapping your plugs to?

I'll check out the Moss website to see how they look like.
Only concern is how long in length the emblems are. Most all I've seen are 5 to 6+", whereas the autobadges are only 3.7".

I was told by Brenspeed to leave them as is (out of box gapping). They mentioned that in other FI applications (turbo, TS, or high boost), plugs need to be re-gapped.

Too short and too thin and you can barely see the emblem.

Yeah... I had to re-gap to .038". Plus, you would need the special gapping tool.

(emblem) That's the idea. From Autobadges, "it just large enough to read next to the car, but not large enough to see from a distance."
Any longer in length under the GT will look goofy IMO.

(plugs) I told them that I don't have one of those gapping tools, so if they needed to be gapped, I asked if they can do it for me prior to shipping.

I found 2 other 'maybe's'..

This one is actually a Chevy part (looks good though) 4 1/4 x 3/8
Attachment 40000

Generic emblem 5 1/2 x 1/2
Attachment 39999

Still looks like I may be getting the ones from Autobadges.

I'll take pictures of both kinds that I have when I get the new ones.

These are the emblems from Moss Mustang:

I like the Chevy and Moss emblems. If I had to chose though I'd probably go with the Moss ones.
