Ponies on The Run (Again)
Man those PT Cruisers where just un-real. This one had a fountain... with real running water in the back !! WTF indeed. The rest were just as over the top as this one was, the "Zorro" Theme or the Goofy Theme. It goes on and on.
I know we're doing mods with ours but this I really don't get. All the little accessories, dolls, trees, lights, signs....etc ?? Just like a couple other cars to me a car show isn't about the "hey look at me" trinkets that you can add to the car or even if the car is the one with everysingle thing you could do to your car. It's a blend of performance (a first for me), functionality and taste. Just because you have the cash to put lambo doors, led lights, blower, nitrous, 22" rims, chrome out the wazoo doesn't mean you should, unless you've got a Honda
Then again it's not like they can do much about the performance of the vehicle so I guess this is they're outlet

The way I see those guys with the PT-C's is that it's just a toy to them. I'm sure many of them can probably afford a new Vette, but instead, they choose to buy a $16k car and mod the heck out of it.
Although not very practical, they were fun to look at.

Nice vid ha
Better you guys then us
Yesterday was another day of rain in Houston. I just got done detailing the GT and I just got it pulled back into the garage before the monsoon began. What a summer here, day after day of rain. Only plus is it keeps it cooler though today is forecast for 98 with about 98% humidity

Coast driveshaft came in this afternoon and is now installed!
Let me just say, although there's only 14 bolts in the kit, don't be fooled. This install literally kicked my butt and took me (with help) a good 7 hours. Can you believe that?
AND, I'm not 100% done yet. Still needs a little adjustment with a custom shim Kevin fabricated for me (which btw, looks super cool and good enough for retail) for the BMP loop to MGW shifter clearance issue.
Pics and write-up tomorrow. I'm in no mood right now to upload pics.

Can't wait to see the install!

Ah the art of tease! We all know your working on the picts right now and we are going to wake up to a new post! Dang I want to hear why it took 7 hours, that just put a chill down my spine if I attempt to do this myself Now I know where the term came from "You got shafted"

I need to make more room in the garage. Want to sell my original '07 headlights, hood and mufflers. How much should I ask for the lights? I don't know what they retail for. All are like new, very few miles. Let me know if you or anybody you know is interested. Must be local pickup for hood and mufflers. I'll post in "For Sale" category later if necessary. Thanks!

Okay guys, after slaving over this write-up for a couple hours, it's up!
Coast Driveline 1-piece aluminum driveshaft install (w/pics)
Still need to fabricate a new shim for the loop. So until then, no real street driving or high speed feedback.

I take it even though the current shim seems to work you want to play it safe with a new shim that provides better clearance all around. Oh you know thats going to kill you waiting to get this done. No tire thrashing/roasting for you pal!
Not to take anything away from Bills brilliant DS install but thanks to Leo I found these great door sill decals from GrabberPony. They really came out nicely, I have to work them over for the final positioning and make sure they are flat, and no bubbles or high spots but for now they look great to me. I love the Ford Blue color, Mark at Grabber got me the color ASAP as he didn't have them as part of their choices. He will get you any color you like just ask, he is great to work with and offers outstanding customer service.
