That's pretty low. Probably explains why I haven't seen any GT500's with your combo in my area.

Scary thing is, as you and I get weaker as time goes by, Chris is getting stronger.
.. and more skilled.

for a time yes but no matter how good he is, there will be someone better, younger and faster than him as he begins his inevitable slow-down..... Aging sucks for everyone.

Very true, and slowing down with age a good thing. Can you imagine getting pwned by an 80 year old?

Must be slow day for everyone here in POTR except for Brian and I. I guess we're the only ones at work.

Yeah no kidding.

So I'll help...

Mustang news..... The clunk is up front, again. I might not have gotten the end-link completely torqued ?? I did use locktite, blue, and whatever is the cause I'll take it apart this weekend and check it out. PITA.

Hopefully re-torquing the endlinks will fix the problem.

What ever happened to the belt squeal issue that started happening a few weeks back?

So it's a clunk & not a thud some say vent doors closing when system starts up & shut down or the top strut mounts ?

I got a feeling because of that 8mm that I probably didn't get it to 129lbs. From doing the LCAs last weekend I know I didn't put that much torque on the nut tightening it (know = guesstimate ) But how the F, do you actually torque it down w/o that little 8mm POS bolt not turning ?? Ideas ??

Still squeaks like a field mouse for about 5 seconds once the engine is fired up in the morning only. Goes away before I can back out of the parking spot. So far so good

I can feel it in the floor boards/brake pedal and it has nothing to do with start up or shut down.

8mm bolt to 129 ft lbs? Are you sure about that?

Last time someone tried to torque a 8mm camcover bolt to 89 ft lbs, it snapped.

Lets hope the 5 second squeal stops there. Once it does it all the time, might be time for a new belt. At least you can swap out idler pulleys and belt in just a few minutes.

no, no, no...

The 8mm is on the capped end of the threaded bolt, the nut is tightened onto the bolt. The nut is torqued to 129lbs. But that F*&^ing bolt turns and the only way to stop it from turning is by using the 8mm capped end of the bolt, now with a standard socket and torque wrench how is it possible ?

stay with me man, I know it's Friday and all and that beer is calling your name, but you gotta hang in there

squeak, yeah I need to check out where and what is making the noise. Probably should get a belt too. It's been almost 15k on the original belt. Pulleys, when I need them I'll fret over them.
