I've got photographers... In different area codes

It's not bad having a friend that wants to shoot and build up his skills. Good for me

Thanks

In short: My friend took the shot. Ray is asking about a camera Jed sold to me a while back. I need to pick up some skills. My shots are less than ok.

Here's one for example:

Nice pictures Fly! I need to find an urban, graffiti location where I won't get jacked.

Picture was taken at Old Town Torrance. It's hard finding a location like that and not get jacked

High Dynamic Range photography.

Here you go HDR>

I met a guy at the Mustang reveal that shoots this way. Multiple shots bracketed there are special programs that allow you to edit multiple picts into one (other than PhotoShop CS).

A Nikon D40. This was a while back. It's a nice beginner's SLR camera. Thanks again Jed

Check out Jed's link.

It's multiple shots bracketed. You can also cheat it with photoshop by copying one image and creating many different images with different exposures. HDR is pretty cool and I'm curious to see where our computer screens head. We cannot fully appreciate HDR with our monitors just yet. It's HD for images lol. It gives it that wonderful surreal look I like.

Here's my attempt: I used the "cheater" method.

Here's my friends HDR attempt with actual bracketing:
