Hey Leo....

Found a gear calc online. If your tire is 26" vs mine @ 30" The difference between our final gear ratios is pretty big. I'm down to a 3.2 and your up to 4.26

You can bet a 275/40 is in my future.

Congrats Brian and Leo at the track.

Had a great cruise with 281. Maybe 40 car turnout. Cruise part was around 25 cars or so.

I'll upload some videos tomorrow, but here's a few pics from the event.

If Danny reads this....

I know we kinda bailed on helping Dan get his stuff done (30K checkup??) at Bill's... I think my parents are OK with us coming over and doing it there if everyone is still willing. The only time open is likely Dec 20th-21st ?? Or sometime in Jan '09

Also if I get my shift light back in time, Bill, do you think we could knock that out too ?? I hate dealing with electrical so except for the mechanical installation I would need serious help, soldering etc.. That is if you're up to it. If not I can just take it to ST. Either way doing Dan's stuff should be pretty easy.

Now if we're gonna do this, I gotta say no guarantees about any type of blow-out like last time. Cheap pizza and maybe some BJs blonde, but nothing over the top... xmas is right around the corner.

Great pictures Bill! I really like that black stang
I thought the 281 cruise was great, the mountain driving both up and down from the Palomar Observatory was the Sheet! The Pala Casino was a nice surprise, all the look and feel of Lost Wages but a shorter drive. We partied to the wee hours of the morning, with the 281 clan. I'll post some pictures a little later. Got to meet a friend of Monica's Priscilla what a sweetheart

Like I told Brian, the date I originally setup was on Thanksgiving weekend, so I understand that it was tough to get everyone together. I think early January 2009 would be best because I've got some plans on the weekend of the 20th and the 21st. I'll do the oil change on my own but save the cabin air filter and the fuel filter for when we meet up.

The cruise was awesome. It wasn't a big crowd; it was just the right amount. The route was so much fun. Leo, it's a good thing you didn't go because you would have a) driven off the mountain b)hit another car when going around the twisties or c) driven to slow to have fun in fear of the above It was a tight-turning canyon run. Did not mind the G-forces when hitting the twists POTR brought home the gold yet again. One highlight for me was receiving my first trophy I'll post pics tomorrow but it's not going to be anything like Jed's of course.

New mod

I was out to the local Target store and happened upon this Mustang in the parking lot. I'm sure this would be a great mod for you undiscriminating men looking for the perfect touch to your fabulous Mustangs

Nothing like slapping on some nice vents or whatever they are called, seems like I see these on Buicks all the time lol Oh and this is a V6

No prob on the shift light, it's actually pretty easy if you wire it in like the way I did. There is an alternate way to wire it in at the computer box, but I found it easier to tap into the #8 cyl COP.
Check out this link and see how I wired it in and see if you want to do the same.

That's not bad. Didja get a chance to really get on it ??
heck I put 350+ miles on my car this weekend

I think this light, it's not the same as the regular light, has to be hooked to a cylinder cop. So that should make it easy. I still have to send it back AND call SOS and get the "claw". I "assumed" it was from raptor and never checked the gauge pod. Calling raptor I learned that SOS sends them out so I have to order one since it wasn't in the box.

Also talked to the Raptor guy and there is a slight mod that needs to be done to the claw to accept this light. should be simple enough though.

Yo Phil you did the right thing..... putting the car up here for our ridicule

Yup, got on it on the many straight-a-ways during the cruise. I was mainly in 3rd or 4th during the entire trip putting me in the sweet spot of the centri.

I did get a CEL early on in the day, I'm sure it's the O2 sensor P0153 code. I got an e-mail into Greg about this.

Why do you have to send the Raptor back?

Very cool

Hope the CEL is nothing.

When I called looking for the "claw" he asked how long ago I bought the light, remember it's the launch light not the std. light, and he then profusely apologized and said there is a good chance the firmware is defective and asked if I would send it in so he could completely replace it with a upgraded version. There is a work-around but I am choosing to send it in.

The problem is that on our cars the light will only show up double of what you set it at... I set it at 6000 it will light up at 12000... you can see the problem. The work-around is to set the shift point at 1/2 of what I want it to be. Or send it in and get a new one.

Here's my cool 3 minute video of the cruise.

Driving with one hand, holding the camera in the other.. keeping the car on the road and video screen in frame.. I got mad skills!
