While I am a fan of the original CSI it's not where I get the quote...

As a kid growing up my dad always would say that to me. In fact he still does whenever we're working on the car together. So it's habit.

LEO, SuperFly....

Weather is looking better. weather.com no longer has showers at Barona for Sunday......

+7!!!

Just imagine Stratemier behind you during the practical and you'll do just fine.

Ford does it again. First there were busted 5.0L blocks and now they continue the tradition with the 4.6L.

supercharged, stock fuel pump, lower than normal octane, boost in 4th gear with a high RPM.....

Pretty much tells the entire story in the first post of what I was told never to do if I wanted the motor to stay in one-piece.

I have heard of multiple stories of guys in 4th/5th gear boosting and blowing everything sky-high.

It was a JDM tuned car and install, so I don't doubt the setup........ after all it did last for 10k miles. Just proves the point that unless you keep your overall output low, you're playing with fire to some degree.

That said.......... my 501 is still tearing ***!

100% agree with Tom. That car was tuned and running as best as can be, heck it did for 10k miles as Tom pointed out. It was just a flat out failure of cast POS components. Period.

That said, I think Tom wants an excuse to give to the wife why he all of sudden needs a new motor.
