Hey guys, I went to the bodyshop to check on the finish work on my street scene body kit and hood. When I came there I couldn't believe my eyes. The work was horrific. Paint did not match, side skirt and rear lip attached badly. The paint quality was aweful, running clear coat and it did not feel smooth. The stupid guy put brown **** between the car's body and side skirts. WTF.

We arque for over a hour. He finally agree to repaint it, but I don't trust his work. He might try to blend the fender and screw up the car. I'm so **** right now, I don't know what to do. What can I do if he still screws up after I paint it? Do you guys know a better bodyshop in cali that can do it right?

Sorry for all this venting but im just so pissed.

A little late, but get a working agreement with the shop owner NOW before anymore work is done on what the resolution will be if the repair is still unacceptable.

If you don't clear this up now, it'll be more of a headache later.

Sorry to hear the woes.. I can relate.

I don't have any SoCal shops I can recommend.

Update (kinda)...

I called Swanson this afternoon.

Danny left for a bit, so I asked the dude that answered the phone if my head came back. He asked what car is it for.. I replied, "The 06 red w/white stripe Mustang that's been in the shop like forever!"

He said, "I think it came back today."

I asked if he can tell Danny to call me back... I'm still waiting.

Now everyone knows as much as I do.

Sorry to hear about the problems. IF things go to hell in a basket and you need another shop I highly recommend Brea Auto Body. They did my CDC chin spoiler and the SSE Ducktail. There was a couple small issues with the ducktail and it's surface that they had to fix, otherwise the paint has been absolutely perfect. If I ever have to have something done to my car again it will be with Brea Auto Body.

****. What's the senator that we have to write to to get the act of congress to pass so you motor gets finished. Did they ship the head out to italy or something. Magnafluxing...etc should take a day plus two in transit at the most..... The heel draggin needs to stop.

I am so sorry that it's been like this for you Bill. I get frustrated hearing about the delays and it's not even my car......Problem with the light at the end of the tunnel is that there is a train engine behind that light

Useful if you are off-roading in the Mustang.
In high horse power, high traction applications the rear end can actually flex and bend under hard acceleration....Stock cars with flimsy housings will actually "Toe In" on the loud pedal which can make the car feel "Twichey"(sp?) to the driver. It is not uncommon to see bracing welded to a ford 9" to combat this, but this bolt on thing doesn't look very impressive....anything with movement will move. While it may help keep the camber straight under hard acceleration, it does nothing to reduce the toe in.....I think this is just an expensive way to add unsprung weight to your car....and remember, unsprung weight is multiplied 10 fold. If you reduce your unsprung weight by 10 pounds, the car will act as though it was 100 pounds lighter. That's why they started mounting shocks upside down......so the heavy casing end was connected to the chassis and just the shock stem would go up and down with the wheels....

No pics untill later because we bought it last night so it was too dark to take pics. Not a bug amazingly. She'd talked about wanting a bug forever but when it came time to pick she chose????
Obviously I'm glad about that since I'd feel like a techno loving homo driving a bug.

BTW-Tell Hector thanks for the advice he gave about selling the Escort. Amazingly the dealership gave me 1300 for that piece of crap with no a/c.
