Last I knew (and this is dated Intel) there were proportioning blocks (for lack of a better term) that divided power front/rear that would occasionally go off center and send all the pressure to one end or the other....usually triggering a warning light, but not always. What we have in our cars I don't know....guess I'll have to investigate. But I definitely have more front brake than I'd prefer. Normally I would just reach up to the dash, grab the bias knob and dial in more rear brake, but alas, the Ills of production cars. I may have to install a manual limiting valve to reduce pressure to the fronts, but first I'd like to know if there is a problem more easily reconcilable before I start hacking into the system. The story of "Too much Rear Brake" further exemplifies my query....is there a problem with these brakes?

Turn in your man card! :rofl2: buffguy - sorry to hear about the nightmare. it's a shame people do not take pride in their job :shame: Bill - It's such a long road... It's coming along. Soon this will be all behind and you'll be all grins. That little icon made me crack up. |
Bill-Ouch on $$$$. But the good thing is your really close to putting this whole thing behind you. Remember like you always say "It's only money. You can make more."
George-I figured you'd come back but that was brutal.:crying: Couldn't resist draging you into it though. Buffguy- I feel your pain. I went through three months of hell when I got my CDC ducktail installed and the orginal spoiler holes filled. Best advice is call around and whoever give's you the highest price take it to them. Most of the time if they charge more there's a reason for it. |
Bill.. sorry to hear about the extra cost, but like Leo said..."It's only money. You can make more." those are words to live by for us gearheads!

My girlfriend and I participated at the Northwest Roundup this past weekend in Bellevue, Washington. It was tons of fun hanging out with great people. They showcased the GT/CS and celebrated it's 40th anniversary. Plus it gave me a chance to sneak back in to the U.S. for a couple of days.

Hey Jed, didn't you tell me you have a hi-def camcorder?
I bought a Canon HG10 on clearance and it takes awesome hi-def vids but my computers (yes, all 3 of them) have trouble processsing it effectively for editing, etc. What computer/processor are you using? Off topic, I know....... ;) Jed |

Hi Tom I edit on a MAC Pro G5 specs: Two 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors. I use Final Cut Pro to edit it handles it well. I also edit on an older MAC a G4 Quicksilver model. This Mac is maxed out at the moment. I don't own an HD-cam but I have one available from work it's a Canon HD20. The picture quality is excellent even in SD mode; I usually shoot in 16:9 format.
