I really like this image of Jed's car even if it isn't the sharpest. What's really strange is that George's PJ is hiding right behind him and you can't see it at all.

Had fun hanging out with the guys yesterday. First time I really put the car through its paces on some of those canyon roads and I'm very happy on how it performed. Mainly kept it in 3rd (3-4k rpm's) with an ocassional downshift into 2nd and the power was always right there!

Car even handled a 90 degree right turn with ease (thank you Leo)!

Only bummer was that I discovered 2 small rock chips dead center in my CDC spoiler.

Here's some pics from yesterday's cruise...

(sorry Ray, blame Kevin )

Sweet, thanks Bill! (and thanks Kevin, somehow I knew )
Sorry about the rock chips, that's what you get for driving it. Now it's officially a road car.

Just ordered my a set of 255/45/18 BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 . They'll be going on the week of the 14th. Got a killer deal from my local Discount Tire. $729.21 out the door. That includes their repair/replace warranty.

I think the mod $$ bank is closed for a while now.

Tom-From all the reviews I've read on the tires It seems almost everyone agreed they were "noisy". What's your take on it?

No way. There is no additional road noise compared to the stock tires...

Congrats on the tires.
I'm gonna get a set when I don't have so much tread left.
(That means in about 2 years at the rate I drive, even with burnouts.)

I feel your pain.
I got one way down low in the front that I had to touch up.
It just proves that our cars are not just garage queens.
We actually do take them out and use them for what they were made for.

Figured it was people expecting a Lexus or Luxury car type of quiet complaining. Either way I'm sure the noise of the exhuast will hide the tire noise. Can't wait to put your claims of the tires being like glue to the test.

BTW-I plan on leaving the stock tires bald or close to it.

Thanks. I've had Wheels for a year and some change now but with all the burnouts, track time and over 15,000 miles I think it's about time. Ask Bill how bad my treads were.

I never said that. Bill said it sounded like I was saying that.

Here's what I said to Bill, (and I'm sure it applies to you, too!):

You'll be surprised at the difference.

I'm comparing my driving style to my driving style... not to your driving style. Pop the clutch in first and of course you can roast them.

But there is a HUGE difference between the stock tire grip and the BFG tire grip. I used to come down this road to work that had a sharp right turn at the end. With the stock tires I could slide the rear end around without even trying. With the BFG's and the 93 race tune, it wasn't nearly as easy.

Could I have come into the turn harder and turned sharper? Sure... I'm just saying that when driving in the same manner, the better tires make a HUGE difference.

On second thought... You probably won't notice ANY difference with your driving style...

Your probably right.

BTW-I had a great time yesterday. Probably not as much as the rest of you since I didn't have my car.

Here's my pics from the cruise.

Here's some pics of the spacers. I'm not sure wether to install them before or after the new tires. Reason being I've heard Discount Tire/America's Tire won't touch your car if you have spacers.

So I'm guessing the correct answer is after?

Yes, No, Maybe, I don't know if I can wait till then. Worse case scenario I'll just try them on the rear tires and take them off when I'm done.
