Since it looks like we lost the thread we started due to the server crashes , I thought we should start again.
First off this will be a thread to share our experiences after we have gotten are babies to the stable. Most of us have moved from "Ponies On Order" to here. (Bill, Susan and Tom the senior members )
We lost a lot of valuable information, so I was hoping we could all repost the How-To's such as the Exhaust Installs, DRL Module, Antenna (Susan), stripe installs and any other informative posts we lost.

That explains re-registering.
Anyhoo......Just got back from Texas Motor Speedway , and brought the GT in for it`s window tinting , I grabbed the Head Mechanic over Mustangs and got it from the source. He agrees with me that the oil should be 10W-30 , but for the 3 year 36000 mile warranty , keep the 5W-20 to be in God`s graces. He said that the extended warranty will not matter , but as far as changin the oil , keep it where it`s at , no matter where in the country you live. That way if "I" am correct , FORD can replace my engine when it freezes up in 120 deg heat stuck in rush hour traffic. KEWL!!!!

Me too. Went down on Thursday afternoon, and came back Monday morning.
Was a great time, first NASCAR race I had ever been to, not to mention I won a little money from my friends as well

Yea That was funny.
Greg Biffle was kicking everyone's hiney, then after a restart Kurt Busch spun him out into the wall. Biffle's girlfriend got pissed off and was yelling at Busch's wife. Gotta love a cat fight

Lefty Loosie
Righty Tighty
Got it?
Did we really lose everything??? That's crazy! I am going to have to go make a donation. If we join Team Mustang Source, does the money go to Master Barnett to maintain the site?
Oh man - lost my signature stuff...
I think I read somewhere that TMS (Texas Motor Speedway) has a charity day where you can take your car up and run it on the track for a donation. I might be interested in that, but I don't think I'm confident enough to drive it. Maybe Chris would...

OKAY--- I graduated today
I wish I had access to previous posts and my old stuff maybe it can be recovered.
I have so far installed my sequential tails and my front pony corral (hey, its only been a few hours).
This weekend I get to put on Dustin's old K&N CAI after a dyno run, I think.
I will post pictures when the forums are more stable (when ?).

Oh darn, didn't think of that
I will be trying to repost my Rocker Panel Stripes Install this week. I would do the Flowmaster but I don't have the good pics of the hanger bolt and H-Pipe clamp locations. Hmm maybe something for this Sat after the DRL install.
Went by painter's today on a wish that he had something started, no such luck still they are still in the box.
Congrats Karman

Leaky brake reservior cap
If your reservior cap is leaking (most everyone's is!), you'll just need a roll of teflon (plumber's) tape to fix it.
This is just a band-aid fix. The teflon tape will eventually melt away.
An alternative fix is to remove some brake fluid until below the MAX line. Leakage seems to ocur due to overfilling by the factory past the MAX line.
Remove the cap and clean off the leaking brake fluid (cap and neck).
Wrap at least 2x around the lock part on the neck of the reservior with the teflon tape (clockwise direction).
Put the cap on and twist to lock (will be a bit tighter due to the teflon tape).
Problem fixed!

Bookmark: Window Tinting
Finally got around to tinting my windows today. Took the GT to a shop that I've used for years, Classic Window Tinting located in Orange, CA. These guys are the pros in what they do. Shop owner was already aware of the need for felt on our Mustangs so that wasn't an issue.
Tint used: Solar Guard HP Titanium 33 (light-medium)
Fresh in the bay
Back window layout
Heat applied to form fit
Installing tint on back window
Removing door panel screws to access (window) wipe channel
Top of door panel is pulled back just far enough to access the channel
Channel being pulled up then slid out
Side view of removed channel and panel pulled back
Surface of channel (where it contacts the window) is prepped for felt
Felt being installed (felt material is the soft side of a velcro kit)
Felt installed complete
Wipe channel being reinstalled back into door
Front window tint being trimmed and fitted
Front window tint being installed
Tint being feathered into window glass
Tint install complete!
View out the back

Awsome Bill !! I need tint before summer !!! How much xtra was the felt??

Thanks Tony!
$25 extra for the felt install, well worth it to prevent future scratches.
Ask your tint installer how they install the felt. Some guys remove the whole door panel, leave it all together and stuff the felt down into the channel, or the way like mine was done.
Nothing wrong with dropping the whole panel, but as you see, it may not be necessary. And make sure they prep the strip surface before appling the felt (sandpaper/alcohol), otherwise it may start to peel off later down the road.
