Ponies on The Run!

I think the pdr guy is doing it as I type this.
Good point on the CARB EO. I know a bunch of stuff out there is 'pending', and that can take forever.
I believe the non-I/C Whipple has a CARB number, but not the HO, right? Not sure about the KB's either.
On a related note (mainly for me and Leo), I found Don_W's post on how he modified his Shaker to fit on top of the KB. It's possible with some custom brackets, but not sure I like the look.
I wonder how it'll look with the aluminum scoop mounted directly on the blower without the plastic shroud?
Or, have a custom billet piece (and get it anodized black) fabricated between the blower and alum. scoop (and ditch the plastic)?
Don's..
Don't jinx Leo, the dent issue isn't over yet.

Leo, sorry to here about the ding but I'm glad he was cool about it. I remember years ago somebody rear ended my Explorer when it was relatively new and he smashed my license plate. When I asked him to pay for a replacement he went ballistic and I thought he was going to get violent.
I think it's a defensive mechanism so they don't have to pay.
When I got my Mustang repaired after the Queen Mary show I was amazed at how perfect the panel was. Good luck.

Thanks George. I was fairly confident that the M117 was CARB OK but not positive. Now I know.... one more obstacle I don't have to worry about.
Leo,
Sorry to hear about the ding, hope the PDR guys and the schmuck that did it takes care of you.
Can't stay on too long today, tons o' work with our merger that goes down today. Hopefully I'll get home in time to enjoy a few adult beverages....

Read your last sentence and didn't get to the 'beverages' part and thought 'female' adults, 'You Da Man Brian!'
Better ask for $107 or so, darn paypal fees.
Sorry, but there is nothing around here that would support the 'other' type of adult entertainment here. There USED to be but the city closed them down. Besides I had heard that it was like looking at 50 miles of bad road down the grand canyon.... and after BE I just couldn't look at something like that.

You're right, once you had some BE, others just leave a bad taste in you mouth.

Speaking of which, I recall Leo telling me that he's planning on heading up Feb 9/10... hmmm.
CHE UCA & Anti-Squat mods..... Order placed
Feb 9-10th.... I think I might be able to pull that off. Current plans are to make the Winternationals, but we'll see.

Mash... A mash is the process that converts the starch in grain to simple sugars. Our friends, the yeast, eat the sugar and **** out alcohol and carbonation. Step Mash or Infusion Mash is the step by step heating of the grain and water to hit the perfect temprature that start the enzymes to convert the starch to sugar. An extract is a mash that has had all of it's water removed so it's just sugar, it's the quick & easy way out. With an extract you have no choice over grain type, color, selection or by what amount. You get what you get. But it's a much simpler process, melt the extract into your water and add hops.
I brew or brewed all grain and so never used an extract. If anything it gives you absolute control, except for water chemistry unless you do that too, over the brew. It's harder takes more precision, time, effort....etc. But when you brew all-grain you greatly reduce the cost of your beer. I was down to about 33-50 cents per bottle when doing 10 gallon batches.
Jeez.... I need a beer now.

Final dent update- I recieved the money via paypal. All in all not bad. I got the issue resolved in under 24hrs. Probably a heck of alot faster had I went through the insurance companies. Glad my car is back to normal and it didn't cost me a dime. Lesson learned always go through the drive-thru.
