I know it makes no sense to swap out motor mounts, but let me tell you... I'm 100% sold on these Prothanes. I'm not going to get the 'shaved' ones from JDM, but the direct factory replacements.
After riding in Jed's Roush, you can actually feel the power. It's different than a harsh suspension feeling, but more of the engine/drivetrain vibrations you feel. It's not 'over the top', but just enough to remind you that you're riding in a muscle car.

What it feels like to me.. N: 20% V: 40% H: 5%



Yes, got to pilot the Roush today, it was awesome!

Did several full throttle accelerations passes with full boost, and that baby just pulls to no end!

With his KB, full Roush suspension, Coast DS and the Prothane mounts, it feels like a friggin' race car.

 

I'd say get this if your serious about swapping the motor mounts.

Hey I want a ride too I think its a great mod, I didn't realize how much the engine moved till I got a car with a shaker. I just need to see for myself if I can put up with the additional NVH.

Why do I hate that car I must be getting grumpy as I get older

Let me throw this out there and see what you guys think. I'm thinking of loosing the shaker and going with the regular saleen blower. It would look like the car in the pic below. What do you guys think?

On the Prothanes, if you have any reserves about the additional NV, don't get it. But, if you dig the sensation of feeling the engine, these are for you. Best bet is to have Jed give you a ride and see how it feels.

On loosing the Shaker, that looks like a good option. I like the way that hood looks.
Of course, the collectors out there (as well as PJ himself) will give you hell about it. But ehh, who cares!

I use facebook, hardly ever check the other. That was a great article Tom. I think you could take most any somewhat powerful car on the road, and make it to a SC State Trooper, they have like everything.
