Thanks !! It ought to be a fun show. Much smaller than the Queen Mary and probably much more laid back.

Yup it's alot more laid back. Plus it's short and sweet. Not to sound like a homo or anything but It's the one year anniversary of when Bill and I met Brian, Jed, and Rayman.

Ahhh you remembered....

Actually talking to the car show peeps today I mentioned that I brought my brand-spanking new car to the show last year but didn't enter because I didn't know better.... I found out from Leo the next day if I would have entered I would have won because no-one else entered.

Not to bum anyone out but no goodie-bags or t-shirts this year. Apparently between QMXI, the wedding, honeymoon and this show there wasn't enough time to get it all sorted out, vendors called etc. Sunset ain't springing for a canvas bag like last year So all there is to be had is a micro-fiber towel and a Adam's thing for some drawing ?? It sucks and it SHOULD have been delegated to someone else but at least for me.... I don't care. Less crap-ola, sales sheets, junk that I have to deal with the better. They're nice when they're stuffed with other car show info but when it's just sales flyers BFD. That and it made today easy not having to stuff all that. QM was insane doing that.

It'll be a long day for me 6:50 - 3:00 or so.... but I only have to "work" 7-10 so it won't be bad at all !!!!

Don't tell anyone but I'm looking forward to it.

And what of the suckers that pre-paid/ordered a t-shirt?

That's what 3 cups of Kona coffee will do Jed!

To curb your munchies, you should have taken the sweet rolls home with you like Pam said.

(BTW, I can't sleep either. )

You know I don't even know about the pre-ordered stuff. The email says "There will be no goodie bags nor dash plaques. Only 25 event shirts were pre-ordered, so we've made an adjustment there that we think you'll really like." I have NO idea what this means. I don't know that the norm is but if only 25 pre-ordered it would be difficult for them to get a decent order in I would think ?? and what about the "functional" awards... are they desk clocks (I am guessing) ?? who knows.

Oh well, I hope the 'adjustment' will be as good as a club shirt.

Desk clock is a good guess. Hope some TMS'rs bring home a few!

Cool beans!

Haven't heard that for years... don't know why that came to me just now.

Can't it be just "Bill", though?

Well almost everyone from TMS cleaned up. I did get 1 first place vote.
Thanks George !!

Anyway, it was a fun show. Lite in some areas but I didn't mind. If they could be that atmosphere I'd be all over 'em. Great time as usual hanging with Leo, Love the back panel and faux gas cap, Bill, Bill and George !! Probably the best time I've had at a show. Brought my camera and took.... ZERO pictures. Jed, I think, might make up for my lack of photographic evidence

Anyway per discussion earlier here is a short-n-sweet vid. Camera phone AT NIGHT, so the quality sucks but it was fun as heck to do. I'll post day-time photos of the results in a coupla days.

enjoy

Nice vid Brian! Man, were your friends excited!

Quick placing rundown from today's show...

Roush (All): 1st Place Jed
Saleen (All): 4th Place George
05-08 Modified Fastback: 2nd Place Bill
05-08 Modified Fastback: 4th Place Leo (good thing he didn't take the bet! )

Jed will post pics soon.

Brian, sorry you missed it 'by that much' again. Some MGW blingage and/or the Whipple will surely put you in the running at the next show.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I'll worry about it in 2008. The breakdown for me was....
1 vote 1st
5 for 2nd
6 for 3rd

The sixer next to me, on the left, had a lot of chrome so I can understand that. I'm thinking maybe some deep-dish chrome bullits with the Whipple should help, but it's my car and I'll probably end up getting less votes
Who cares, I love my car. It's everyone else, voting public that is, that can't see the brilliance. Their loss.
