Ray, I'm just curious... why do you want your car to look like it has 2 gas caps?

That's why I like the rear medallion the way it is.

The key hole doesn't look bad... not enough to put a second gas cap on the car.

If SHR had a regular medallion that you could personalize, I think that would look a lot beter.

I think I know what Tom's referring to, it's the 'flip down' lid part.

 

• I thought that was what the rear medallion was supposed to look like.

• If somebody tries to steal some gas I have a 50/50 chance to stop him.

• Even though I love the original, I'm thinking of having something less "bling" to match the flat black trim theme (and I can have it custom made, a true one of a kind).

• I'm actually thinking of putting one on the right rear quarter panel and one on the hood.

• And because I can.

 

well here 'tis... I'm pretty happy. Wish they were 12" stripes, but spit in one hand and wish in the other...what do you get ?

Just placed the order for my hood stripe. So if all goes according to plan Both the hood stripe and the decklid piece should go on next Saturday at Kevin's.



I can't believe I finally pulled the trigger on a hood stripe. Now I just hope I like the way it looks once it's on. With any luck I'll be happy with it just like I was after the Shaker shroud trim.
