There is a spreadsheet in a sticky for stripes in the appearance mod thread. looking at 05fordgt's and tom281's I decided that 10 wasn't so bad. Right now the quote is 500. That was my 3.73 money. Ya win some, ya lose some. I'll have a concrete number tomorrow.

Don't count me out yet. It depends on what they have planned and if they need me on Friday. If not I'm game, if I'm part of the planning committee then I can't. I'll know more later this week.

No offense man, but GMS and ditto for the hoses. It's just me but if it ain't a race car colored hoses, braided hoses just don't seem right. I saw them on Scottie's car and didn't like the look. I guess I'm picky.

 

No problem that's what's nice if I don't like it I'll just change back to black. See once you have black you do come back!

Ok let me touch on as many topics in one post as I can.

Brian - 10" Stripes
Tom281s stripes look awesome and are 10" BUT they also have the pinstripes which make them appear wider than they are.

Bill - I watch UFC a lot and watched the fights Saturday night.
I was not impressed with either of the two hyped fights.
Bisping vs Hamill or Rampage vs Henderson. I like the striker or submission battles. I'm not much of a ground and pound guy unless someone is doing some damage. Rolling around and not hitting each other is, well umm wrestling and wrestling is boring.

Leo - I hope we can go 2-0 or even 3-1 as you stated. only time will tell.

Brian, 10's are fine. That's what Daryl and I would've had if BSM didn't come out with the 12's at the end of 05.

Disagree. Both of those fights were entertaining to me. It's thanks to viewers like you that they now have 3, 5 min. rounds instead of no time limit fights (ie. UFC 1+). Jiu-Jits is a technical art and takes time to execute, but that's not what the majority of people want to see.

Nope. ME != wimping out.
My plan is to go the Intercooled HO Whipple route early (hopefully) next year. The rule of thumb is
FI = 3.73
N/A = 4.10

so I *might* go 3.73 who knows. I've talked to a bunch of people that say you can't even feel 3.73 'cause it's not enough of a jump (3.90s anyone ??) and 4.10s are OK if you are racing. While it's a DD and not a GQ I'll either stick with the 3.55s or move up to 3.73s or 3.90s

I hear ya Daryl. I know tom281's are 10 w/pinstriping but what really tipped my hand was 05fordgt's he also has the SSE ducktail and I liked the way that looked. I'd go 12 if I could. The thing is that I want this done before the QM XI show on the 23rd. No pressure.....

 

Besides the obvious 'off the line' traction issues, I can't see what the problem is running 4.10's (with a SC).

For those bolting a SC on, aren't you in fact 'racing' around and not babying it?

it's the off the line stuff that I'd be worried about. I'm sure you can sorta manage the traction problem through suspension and tire/wheel upgrades, but without knowing what it's like myself I don't know if it's something I'd want. Besides the more I think about it the more I think that I would rather get blown first then decide on gears. If the 3.55s aren't enough I'll make the next step... If I'm perfectly happy with the stock gearing then I'll stay there. I don't know because I've never had as light as this with 450+ RWHP. I'm sure the decision will be made for me once I lose to Leo again

Yeah I'm not gonna baby it but still going up in smoke at the hit of the thottle, while incredibly fun, gets you 2nd place. Although I'd argue that I'm not racing it either, really all of our performance mods are geared (no pun intended) for abuse or "racing" and not babying the car.
