Ponies on The Run!
It was like that before yesterdays engine/car cleaning. Storytime-
Yesterday I decided to clean the engine bay so I placed plastic bags around the air filter, battery and alternator. In the middle of it I stopped to roll the drivers side window up because I didn't want water getting in. Well instead of just turning the key to acc I started the car.
Doing that cause the filter to gave in.
Mind you I only started the car for less than 10secs. So after removing the airfilter and pushing it back into place as best I could it's still far from perfect. So my remedy untill I buy a new one was to hide ugliest part.

Makes the engine compartment look better than showroom.
Sorry Mike I forgot to comment on your dash plaque. With that said I think it looks good where'd you get it? Post pics once you install it.
Tom-I think the chrome plate is perfect as it ties all the chrome pieces together. If you remove the chrome bezels then I'd say the black plate. Seeing them with the chrome plate has actually made me like them.
***EDIT***
Thanks for the engine cleaning tip. So spraying that foam removes all the dirt???

I might want one, too!

I think I'm going to f***ing faint! Well, the taillight lenses won't be coming off unless I buy new taillights.

But I'm used to a front plate, so it's all relative.
Remind me to keep my hands and arms clear in the engine bay if I need to to turn the key to ACC.
j/k.. be glad it's only the filter you're replacing.
True. I just think the clear cover is the "final touch" that really cleans it up nicely. Actually, I think it's illegal... but I have one on all 4 vehicles.
What I usually do is spray it, wipe it all down to remove all the dirt, and then spray it down again and wipe it down to give a nice shiny look.
BTW, any Tire FOAM will work (I haven't tried regular tire spray). So, buy the cheapest one (they're all essentially the same anyway)
How's this for ****... I don't even want the paint behind my plate scratched! (had to put my new registration decal on)

Plus, my artistic shot.

I found 1/4" aluminum washers and taped them to the back of the plate with 2 layers of electrical tape, then punched a hole in the tape. Then the rubber tape touches the paint, not the washers or the plate.
OK, here's the video of the cop lights:

There will be no mention of my Christmas lights still being up.
On the weekends I totally forget about them all the time, and during the week I don't have enough time.

Not sure if you have this or not but you should get one of those loudspeaker things cops have in they're cars.

Yep, it's all the real-deal in the sound department, too! A siren with an airhorn and PA... and a very loud speaker in the grille (it's all the same stuff used by the cops).
That, and of course 400 HP.

The lightbar comes off easily with a quick disconnect plug and the emblems are magnetic:

I bet EVERYONE slows down when you come up near them
They're just regular rubber grommets. Should be available at hardware stores. Just pull one of your license plate frame screws to make sure you get the right diameter grommet (should fit snug).
