Jim, looks like we have 2 supporters (John and Ray) of the Ford Racing GTA axle-backs. Looks like you can't go wrong with either.

I love my FRPP Stingers. They can drone a bit but the deepness at idle and the sound at WOT makes all worth while. I've heard nothing but good about the GTA's

 

I love my Stingers too!

But, if anyone has the slightest issue with drone, they may not be able to live with the Stingers. And, don't even think about the SLP L/M's which are a click on the volume **** above the Stingers.

I'm with you, Brian, I'm totally into the old school pushrod V8 sound.

After looking at the two pics I've included below I think my shaker scoop looks better w/o the 281 emblems. With that being said let me get some opinions.

Jim - Don't want "raspy"? Stay the hell away from the O/R H-Pipes! I think the Flowmasters are what you are after. A nice, deep rumble... not loud or obnoxious at all. Zero drone in a convertible, minor drone in a coupe. They have nice, polished, 4" tips and they're affordable.

 

I'm signing up but really want to hear from the club Prez first. Like Bill I'm in. Not sure if it's very smart showing up to this event as my first car show, but what the heck

 

Without (they are too big for the scoop) - but don't tell Bill I said that.

D A M N, Leo! I just noticed that on the passenger side of my car it says DROF YB DEREWOP.

Just trying to point out that in NO way does it look like 182 on the one side of the scoop, so don't take it off for that reason... take it off because it's too big!

 

Put me in the no emblem category.

Not concered with people reading 182 or with the size. It's just looking at the two pics I posted above the car/scoop seem to flow better. The 281 stands out to much on my car since it's all black. Since Bill's car is red w/ white stripes the 281 doesn't seem a visible or atleast doesn't draw your eyes to it. Not sure if that made any sense but based on that what do you guys think?
