Sad news for some iPhone users... except George and myself (and Chris with his iTouch 3rd Gen)... 
Only iPhone 3GS and the latest iPod touch will get multitasking. The 3G and 2nd gen iPod touch will get some stuff. iPhone EDGE is left out.

So you 3Gs guys will have the "old" phone then.
Does anybody even have the edge version still?
Even though Luis has a 3GS and Chris a 3G, they're both on T-Mobile's Edge network. In other words, they're screwed with this new update.

I can't remember if they asked, but I know it's been talked a lot since! My guess is that they are waiting for Gen 2... Like everything else Apple, they like to stagger their features... Otherwise, why upgrade?
You *can* use the iPhone as a camera for the iPad and they are coming out with a camera you can attach to it, but neither are what the consumer wanted...

It might be a loooong time before a true 4G network is available. Probably be up to an iPhone 5 or 6 by then.
A co-worker of mine at Boeing (then McDonnell Douglas) was a mechanic on the assembly line. He told me they got bussed in every morning, no windows, to some undisclosed hanger.. worked their shift, then bussed back to the parking lot.

So which one did you buy? I can't decide if I should get the 16gb wifi or the 16gb wifi/3g. Although I'm leaning more towards the wifi version as I see myself using the ipad mainly in my house and not as something I'd carry around day to day. Then at the same time I keep trying to tell myself to just wait for the 2nd gen.

I bought the 32g wifi version the 3G version won't be out till the end of April. I filled it with a bunch of movies, it will work great on the airplane. the battery is incredible!!! my net book would die after 2 or 3 hours, but this thing just keeps on going, I have used it for two days and the battery is still at 90%
