Ouch. Good thing everything is in order again Well, Brian, it looks like it was a good thing you didn't install yours either. The original intent for the shorter UCA was to correct pinion angle correct? In theory, Steeda's stock length UCA should avoid the vibrating issues and still help with launch right?

What happened? Noise? driving/launch issues? Well I hope all is well the the stock unit. At least you saved me some money! My back is sore!
Close.. the Infinity is $300. Though your sub is totally custom for the S197, I think I'm looking for a little more bump from the trunk. When Jed cranked up his sub with the remote gain dial under the dash, his Eagles concert DVD came to life!

Question now is, where to get the 3 bones from..

UCA... George called it on Saturday... "If he's not getting any wheel hop or vibration, why the hell is he changing it?"

I can attest, Leo hit the wall on the UCA install, just like he looked from the motor mount and header install.

I'm just glad we were there to lift him up and get the job done.

22mm head knock.. I was right next to you when that happened. I saw the wrench slip off the Steeda bolt, then I hear this dead blow thump. It was from Leo's head.

That's the same thing I'd told myself all along but the need for a new mod got the best of me.

Yeah that hurt like hell but I didn't realize it had cut me at the time.

That's true it was like a late Christmas for everyone but you and Jed. Heck even Ray who wasn't even there got something.

He's talking about the a-arm brace. I was going to sell it but figured since George seemed interested in it I'd give it to him as a thanks for the Disneyland tickets which would have cost me 3x's the amount of that brace.

Wanna know what Leo got me ?? The idea that I Don't need to change my UCA

What a PITA.

See, that is exactly how I feel too. At least now I do. If I don't have any problems with the UCA and no vibrations, there is no need to swap it out. Unless that "body rippling" torque starts bending the rear components, then I'll worry about it.

Just from the brief time I was helping Leo, I know that I'd rather pay someone than try to do it myself. It's so G'**** frustrating how inaccessible the bolts/nuts...etc are hitting the wall is easy to do.

Sorry to hear we got a casualty. But if you're not bleeding you're not working hard enough

Leo, I see you dropped the Whistle Tips off your future mod list. They're catching on!

What are you running now? 275's? If so, it's kinda like stepping up gears from a 3.55 to 3.73.

I'd say go all out with the 305's.

285's. Nitto or anyone else for that matter don't seem to make a 305 that's not a Drag radial. Not a fan of running DR's with with a normal tire up front.

In that case, guess the 285 is the best (and widest) you can do. Your current rubber already needs replacing?

Here's another one that will let you add hd radio capability to the ipod adapter.

I've got 285/40/18 already. What I'm asking is should I go 295/45/18 next time. I've got plenty of tread left. I just found the thread I linked to above and wanted to see what you guys thought of the bigger looking sidewall you get when going with the 45 instead of 40 sidewall.

Either way won't be bad. What's the price difference? Whenever you decide to replace them, try the 295
