I'll just sell them on eBay (they are going for more than what I paid at Mustang Tuning). I'll also sell the cobra caps that came with the rims. Then I'll buy these:

You mean the outer exterior ring diameter?

I'll have to check later this weekend... sorry, no car here to run out to.

Looks like my AutoVation pedals fianlly hit OKC this morning, so hopefully they will be in the mailbox when I get home this evening.

Had a first this morning. I always wave at fellow Stang owners but very rarely get any in return
but this morning I am at a Stop sign trying to turn left and a Redfire Metallic V6 turns right and goes beside me.
I started laughing as I look over and the dude is grinning from ear to ear and waving like mad so I return the wave and that ever familar grin creeps across my face as well.
It's the little things that make me smile anymore

I've never been waved back at, either.

My tracking number from AutoVation still shows no info.

When you guys get to installing your AutoVation pedal set, you'll see that the dead pedal won't be that secure. The self-tapping screws provided pretty much only go through the carpet and barely into the foam block.

If you're planning on using it to actually brace your left foot, you may want to consider beefing it up a bit.

Couple of ideas are:

1. Replace the self tapping screws with the same kind of machine screws (probably a good hardware store may carry some) and use a large area washer and nut BEHIND the carpet. Drill or spotface into the foam block so the shank and nut will not interfere with the foam (so pedal could lay flat against the foam). This should give the feel of how it is now (OEM design).

2. Cut-out a piece of plywood (sheetmetal, or whatever) and mount that somehow onto the foam block. Then use the self tapping screws and mount the pedal thru the carpet and into the plywood. It'll give it a solid platform to mount the pedal on; will feel good as long as the wood is securely mounted on top of the foam.

I've read of a few folks using plastic expanding anchors into the foam, but that doesn't sound too sturdy to me.

As for me, at the moment it's mostly cosmetic.

Thanks for the tips, Bill!

Mine just showed up. The mail lady was walking over to me carrying the package and said, "I think something's broken". Turns out it was just the hardware... it did sound like broken glass.

Could it have come yesterday when I was off? NO!

I don't know why I was imagining the heel guard bigger than it actually is. Must have been your pictures, Bill...

It just caught me off, uh, guard.

The heel guard isn't huge, but large enough to protect the carpet.

I find myself carefully putting my heel on it so not to dirty it.

I have a small carshow here at work next Thursday. Of course, I'll be showing mine off!

Here's some pics of the new car cover. Much better than the first one (you can't tell what color my car is through this one!)

[attachmentid=47936]

[attachmentid=47937]

This one has 180 SPF sun protection!

It is a heavier material, but isn't really any harder to put on. The Zaino does make it more difficult, but at least I have a non-Zaino'd top to help hold the cover in place!

Once I droop it over the sides and get the mirrors in the pockets it doesn't move any more.

Looks like I'll get at least $30 back from my old cover... but there are 26 watchers! Might take off tonight.

No, I don't have a subscription here. I add one attachment, then submit. Then I click "add reply" and add another attachment, then submit. If you are quick, it adds it to the same post.

In fact, I'm leaving for work right now!

Since we're showing covers, here's mine (again)

Dunno what SPF factor it has, but looks like it has good reflective properties.

And I know what you mean about the Zaino making things difficult (in a good way).
