Well there you go!
Sounds like you got the master plan, just have to put it in motion.

yeah, but plans are one thing, reality is another. Either way.... if my DD is a pre 72 vehicle (64 falcon.... 68-70 F150/250... etc) will have a 429 in it. If I end up with something else.... well so much for the plan.

touche' nicely played sir.

Brian, you got a Torino? You gotta go see the new Clint flick, Gran Torino! I'm pretty sure this will be his last...

On deck for this week..

Another oil change!

It's been around 600+ miles since the first change, so it's that time again.

This time, I'll be stepping it up to the Motorcraft synthetic blend 5W30.

Still will go with the standard Motorcraft filter.

So in total, I now have around ~1100 miles. After this change I'm wondering if I should spread the interval to 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, or 3000 miles?

I do know that both MMR and Greg said don't even entertain the thought of running full synthetic until after 5k miles.

Koji, what made you get a Meziere electric water pump?

I've always been interested in getting one, but always chickened out.

First of all, jury's still out on the longevity. I've heard both sides on durability. If mine goes, I'm f_cked as no tow truck's gonna hook me without screwing up my front bumper... As to your question, since I've got to pay for dance, piano and day care , I can't afford to blow any warranties, especially my Roush blower. As such, the only mod I could do that could POSSIBLY boost my output by reducing parasitic load was this electric water pump. Plain and simple.

I had to have my 05GT get picked up by a flat deck and that was a challange they needed a deck that could retrack as well so as the **** end would not scrape! a coil got wet and would not fire %^#%#^#&*

...had a Torino. Exact same as in the movie except mine was Maroon. The movie one is in one of the thirty different shades of Green Ford had for 1972. Have to see the movie and the car's interior to tell how close it is.

At knotts there was another 1972 429 Torino, turns out there were 52 built in Maroon. Makes me miss my car even more.

I think after the 1K change you'd be good to 3K at least. The early intervals are just to remove any metal pieces and after the first couple you'll have a decreasing amount of particles in the oil. At least that is what I've always been told.

Got it.

When I was N/A, I almost went with the Meziere because it was one of the last 'bolt-on's' left to do.

Nope, not at all. Don't forget, I'm no longer running the Mobil 1 synthetic like I did before.

The oil in my motor now is a conventional dino Mobil 5W30 oil. Thus, a synthetic blend is a step up from conventional.

Whether your bumber gets messed up or not will greatly depend on what type of tow truck driver you get; one that gives a sh*t or not.

Yes, Motorcraft. Your Dealer will use the same oil, but in 5W20.

Three Sheets was a drinking show that aired on Mojo HD. That cable channel went dark on Dec 1st. The host of the show, Zane Lampry, is looking for a new network to pick the show up.

If you've never seen Three Sheets, you're missing out!

Brian - great plans you have with a DD there. I'm just trying to look for a beater. I keep drifting to fox bodies every time I look They can be had for cheap. You can fix them up fairly cheap and it's a mustang

Nope, it'll be crunch time. This is why I prefer to reverse it in parking stalls.
