Headers look sweet. Although they look as if they wouldn't fit in the engine bay when you compare the size of the stock manifolds.

That's why the install is a PITA.

After a little research on my engine stuttering issue, it may have been a little water in the gas tank from sitting since Feb.

So Bill......How's it feel using the Stang as a DD? Have your neighbors complained about you 5am start ups? Are you throwing the cover on at work? Do you go out to the parking lot every 5 minutes to check up on it? Inquiring minds want to know.

What kind of gas mileage did you get on the San Diego trip Bill? Or was the foot in the throttle the whole way?

Can you imagine TacoBill in LA rush hour traffic. On the 405 ?? Until I see pics of a dusty/dirty car sitting in a parking lot all day, I'm with Tom

Feels good! Just have to get up 30 mins earlier so I can get a better parking spot.
No complaints, but some dude's car (2 cars over) alarm keeps going off when I start my engine, have no idea why.

^I'd do that too. I'm not surprised Bill's driving it to work, I mean, wouldnt you want to drive it more, if you couldnt drive it for 6 months? Shoot, I like getting my car back after a week.

They don't show any HP data on the JBA website regarding the shortys....just 23.4 HP with JBA exhaust....Probably with long tubes, no cats and axle backs.....

I have these... So did a lot of research on them prior to my install. There is not much as far as HP increase when only installing shortys but they aid once you have a SC, etc. They allow you to take full advantage of other mods. That's why you will not find HP numbers on the JBA site for just the shortys. Just like fabman said the difference is compounded with other exhaust mods.

The most noticeable difference will be the exhaust tone. You will get a deeper growl.

The General consensus is that shorties aren't worth the cost and labor for the 5 or maybe 10 HP that it adds. Some people claim that they add mid-range power but I've yet to see a single test that adds ONLY the shorties and nothing else for the before & after. But mine were almost free. Cost me to buy the ceramic coating. Not that I agree with that, but I'm not gonna bite the hand that feeds me so to speak. Also I notice that the "firecone" thing that they advertise isn't on these.

Just came back from South Bay FORD, I saw a Shelby KR. They were asking 132K for it, that included a 50K dealer premium. I'll post some IPHONE picts later, I'm at work
