About a week ago I was in an accident and since I've been without my Sterling Gray and have been seeing a Chiropractor for some of my injuries. I pull into his parking lot I can not help but notice a really sharp dark gray 2003 GT convert. Every visit since I have always seen it there in the same spot wondering who's could it be. Well today I find out my Chiropractor is the owner. He's a really nice guy and we started talking about mustangs, mods and the whole retro muscle car thing. Heres a shot of it.
Can't wait to get mine back
I Did Not Realize Post Apathy Started This Far Back. Clearly a Cute Story Which Deserved a Few Replies. It's Had 817 Views over The Last 14 Years. Of Course For Many Years Anybody Posting in an Old Thread Could Be Subject To a Dogpile Dose of Ridicule. Thankfully That Habit Has Passed!
I Just Happened To See a Guest Reading and Found The Title Interesting. Should Also Have Been Put in a More Appropriate Forum. I Will Do That Now!
Just a Little Food For Thought, When Somebody Shares Something Make an Attempt To Aknowledge The Thread. If Not What Incentive is There For Anybody To Share Anything.
Until recently I've made about a million and one visits to my chiropractor who's a car guy.No Stangs,or even Fords that I'm aware of,but he's got a bit of a collection.
Cars, trucks, boats.Last time I was there he was waiting for his new mid engine Vette to be built, and he'd bought a Grand Sport Vette drop top just to get by in the meantime.
How about a '68 GTO Judge 4 speed in orange that was professionally restored.I think the color is officially called Carousel Red.
I often think about how I paid for half of that collection
So I Guess He Supported His Car Hobby on the Backs of Others!
Back in the Day I Got Ran Over at a Stop Light on My 79 Rd-400 Yamaha 400F. My Back is Still Messed Up! In Fact Just Got an Epidural Shot Recently. Worked Well! My Chiropracter Back Then was German and Had Early 70'S Bmw's. I Think He Still Practices! This Was in the Early to Mid 80's! Looked Like These! Most Like The Center One! I Was a Punk Kid & Thought Those Were a Joke Compared To My Love of 60's & 70's American Muscle! I Would Likely Would Have Been Driving My 78 Trans Am During This Time!
I Get it Now They Go Around Corners Well! They Do Remind Me of a Bathtub From Mid 20th Century Though!
A guy I worked with in the late '80's or early '90's drove a Beemer 2002.I always thought they were beautiful cars. That's about the time I had a '79 Trans Slam. What're the odds.
That really takes me....BACK....Har har.I borrowed your pun
Last year we went to a new breakfast place in Sevierville called Buffalo Breakfast company.... while there the owner came by and noticed our Mustangs shirts as we were in town for Ponies in the Smokies and he pointed out his Red '24 GT sitting out in the parking lot across the street. This year we went back and he still has his Red GT, he's a big Mustang Fan and his restaurant is excellent...a bougie feel but not bougie prices, food is excellent. There is an Anesthesiologist here in Birmingham who is big into the 71-73 Mustangs and has a large collection, those guys make the big bucks it seems (at least every time I've gotten a bill from them...LOL) so he's put that money to use for his hobby just like the Chiropractor.... lol
