Man this sucks , the same thing happened on a mountain bike forum I belong too ! Some A.. Hole over in Europe did it , If they're caught a hacker ought to get the death penalty. I have to admit though , I'm a little bummed the forum hasn't done a backup since January and we've lost all the data since then. I guess on the bright side , it won't be hard to find a stale thread now ...

I dunno about death, exactly, but a monetary reimbursement, coupled with hanging by toenails, is in order, for sure.

And, yeah, bummed about lost threads and stuff. Maybe they'll scavenge something...

/All those threads... sigh... fargin' suminumbatch icehole corksoaking bastidge haxx0rz.

I found em, you just have to click on the "HERE" tab a couple times to get to the actual threads.. That was my first concern too. I was about to use Taco's saleen short shifter install thread too!

man I hope they found out who did it, and better yet- WHY. Idiots with nothing better to do than destroy the input of a community of thousands...somewhere some moron that knows how to write little apps is probably sitting back all proud of himself, just like a terrorist that just blew up something random of unknown value...
just like the terrorists that dont add anything of value to society, these morons need to figure out how to actually BUILD SOMETHING rather than just destroying stuff...until then they are no more than freakin mosquitolike pests- no purpose, nothing they ever do will amount to anything.
problem is its a helluva lot easier to destroy than to build...I guess just pray these poor folks sometime figure out a way to actually do something contructive, and how truly rewarding it is to create something of value, instead of racking their brains for ways to cause iddy-biddy trouble for others, rather than helping. pathetic.

hopefully some of the data will be recovered, but I kinda doubt it- blueoval crashed hard back at the end of 05(was waiting impatiently for info on my car that was just about to ship of course) and months of data just disappeared...a lot of stuff is just bs, but a lot more is stuff that might be truly helpful to someone, somewhere is just lost.

Wonder if way back when, idiots woulda smashed the dead sea scrolls for 'fun'...my guess is if caught back then, their slap on the wrist they woulda got woulda been from something huge and very sharp- but they wouldnt do it again

Brad- good luck on recovering...and if I havent said so, thankyou for THE best mustang site on the web.

Tim

I have not been a long time member but the information that was lost is incredible. The 2010 forum, mod discussions etc.

I'm sure we will repopulate everything and more but it still blows.

Its sad when technology can make immature and reckless individuals powerful enough to mess with so many people. Thank you all for such a great resource that has allowed me to accomplish everything in my signature on my own (except the converter ) We'll be back to normal in no time.

These hackers are the reason I don't run a BBS any more. After being hacked over and over again I finally gave up.

Keep up the good fight Brad and the good folks at TMS!! Make local backups of the database periodically on your hard drive.

Sook I love your avatar!!!
