Old vs. New

I'm on my way to pick up my new to me, used 1999 Cobra next week. I had a '97 a couple years ago, that I sold and regretted selling. My soon to be my one is a green/tan convertable w/20000 mi. It's a nice looking car and I'm lucky to get it for the price I'm paying.

What I wonder is whether there has been a drop in interest in the 96 -2001 Cobras with the new Mustang out, including the Shelbys. I'm a latest thing kind of guy, but I didn't really want to get into a new GT just because the price is a little higher and there may be a 5 liter enging coming on in a year or two.

But I'm a little concerned that the '99s are becoming passe (accent ague on the last e). Of course, this isn't a Cobra site, and it's mostly posting about the new model, but what do you think? Does anyone prefer the older model?

Congrats on the Stang!! Sounds awesome! I like both the newer(S197) Mustangs and the older(SN95) ones. They're both an incredible car.

First, congratulations on your new Cobra! Second, as long as you like the car who cares if it is "passe"? (Which it is not in my opinion.)

I like ALL Mustangs, even II's!! I prefer my Mach over the +05s, but that takes nothing away on how cool the +05s are, it just means the Mach struck a louder chord with me.

Enjoy your Cobra!
