I'm a big fan of the motorcraft part syn oil. if your one of those people that feels you have to change your oil every 3k miles just get reg oil.

Yeah but it'll be expensive. If your willing to spend, go with Redline Oil. A little cheaper, Amsoil.

Personally, I just stick with Mobil 1. You can get the most weights at Walmart.

The only Mobil One that's a real synthetic is the extended life. The others are hydrocracked dino oil. Amsoil is also a great oil.

Amsoil here, works out to the same price or cheaper than most other synthetics b/c it is rated for 25k/1 year and so also more convenient.

I like Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w20. It's a good deal at WalMart, along with Motorcraft 820S filter.

Go with the recommended motor oil from the manufacturer unless you have added any aftermarket power I.e. exhaust, CAI, power adder. Then you can change the oil to handle the extra additives the engine will need. As for the oil filter; use paper for longer life and match the engine tolerance to the filtration particle size. Choose whatever oil brand you like but stick with it! If you have any additional questions download the podcast "Carcast" with Adam Corolla, with their guest Lake Speed JR. There is A LOT of great information and laughs!

Some of the other Mobil 1 are synthetic. I think a couple of the 0w oils were among them.

With that kind of interval, you'll be fine with almost anything.
