I have the 2012 v6 with 6 speed manual and the Performance Package. All black. Due to the fact it is not broken in (only 490 miles on it)I have not really driven it hard (I never beat my cars but will "get on them"), but i did get on it slightly (hit maybe 5500 rpms) and the thing just takes off above 3500 rpm's. I had an 87 5.0 and this would smoke it and take no prisoners. I have to admit nothing beats the sound of a v8 (I roll my windows down when one is near just to hear it!!!) though this does have a nice sound inside the cabin..may get after market mufflers down the road. But the 2012 is one heck of a ride, paid only a little above 23k out the door ( but free would have really been nice!!), insurance is very cheap, nice and solid and looks great in black. A comparable v8 would have been over $8000 more. Yes the power comes on higher up in the rpm range compared to the v8 but this thing really does haul. Now if only spring would get here so i can drive it again!!! Sitting under 2 covers in the garage.....

The 2011 V6 is nothing to sneeze at, it's plenty fast, especially with the optional 3.31 rear axle. I ran my wife's 2011 V6 6spd Automatic w/3.31s and it ran a very respectable 13.8 in the 1/4 mile. I added magnaflow street series axlebacks, which makes sound nice and deep. You'll be very happy with the 2011 V6. Below are some photos of my wife's pony.

Go drive one! It is true, these cars are awesome, but you are gonna be the only one who can tell if it is going to make you happy. For a DD it is going to be much better than your GT, but you will lose that V8 rumble. That said, the sixxes have potential to sound fantastic, although not like a V8.

I've found that the base model (I paid dead invoice around 21k) has everything I need. Power windows, mirrors, cruise, aux jack, ect are all included. Although if your mom is willing to pay for it, the premiums are extremely well-equipped, but that's almost 5.0 money.

As far as power adders, there HP to be found from these motors, just like any. And there are plenty of good exhausts out there.

And you always have your BF's 5.0's to play with when you miss the rumble.

Here it is in black.

Although a pain to keep clean, it helps I only drive in nice weather and never in winter.

Man that looks nice, my old car black i posted a pic earlier. I opted for white just to change things up, plus its my DD and white is a lil easier to maintain and im going with the blackout look which always looks good on white

yeah I like it...at times I wish I would have got silver, as black looks so good for about 15 minutes and then the dusts starts collecting....but I really like the car...
