Hi there,

I bought a new Mustang 3 weeks ago from a Ford dealer in Texas, since then I am waiting to receive the title for the vehicle.
Since I am a non US resident, does it really take that long to hold the title in hand?
Car is sitting at the port in Jacksonville, waiting to get shipped overseas, pointless to say that I am more then impatient ;-)

Please allow a minimum of 20 business days for processing of your title application. If there is a lien on the vehicle, the lienholder will receive the title. If you have not received your title within 30 business days, please contact us.

The above post by rriddle3 seems to be the 'norm'. Every state has different time frames and it depends on how busy they are too. I've received titles in as soon as 2 weeks and other times a month in both Florida and North Carolina. You have to allow an extra week being in Germany on top of that. Be patient.

 

wow...as I said, I'm not familiar with title processing in the US, here in germany you would receive the title the same day as you request it...anyway, having no choice then being patient.
btw,title will be issued in Tallahassee
