Night stalker is a remake of a series from the seventies. Kind of like the Friday the 13th series.
Man's wife dies. Believes it was superanatural. Spends the series investigating other unexplained deaths, trying to lnk it to his wife's death.
You coming up to Monterey?

The Night Stalker was a great show. Darrin McGavin played the lead, Karl Kolshack (sp?), who was a reporter who kept getting involved in stories with monsters.
Kolshack drove a 66 Mustang convertible.

I forgot that part. Makes sense now. I haven't seen the orginal series in years. the show I remember the most was one about a suit of armor.

Thought I saw an 05 in the promo for the show. cool.
I was hoping it was a remake of the nightstalker. I really loved that show.
Might be tough to do today. Part of its charm was the underlying humor. This one looks a bit more serious.
I think still recall what was one of the early episodes - if not the 1st - with Richard Anderson from the $6M Man as an immortal Jack-the-Ripper. Classic TV at its best.

Night Stalker, that was a great show. I loved the werewolf on the cruise ship and the swamp monster that lived in the sewer. Also the Zombie one was great. Big fan of that one. Wish they would replay those on classic TV or something! finally something other than reality TV crap.

I've got a few episodes on DVD...The Richard Anderson one and the werwolf on the cruise ship one....The sewer monster gave me nightmares for weeks! (I was only 11 or so)..
Can't wait to see if this remake works....will be hard to be beat the first one. Sort of a cross between Scooby Doo humor and seedy detective show.

Thanks derynf.
Just found this:
http://abc.go.com/primetime/schedule/2005-...ghtstalker.html
It has a few preview clips. Looks to be nothing like the style of the original. I'm not too impressed so far, but I'll definitely watch a few episodes just for the car.

I remember the werewolf one - and the monster in the sewer one!! That one used to freak me out!!!
(oh and McGavin is the man - I look forward to seeing him every year when TNT does their 24 hours of A Christmas Story marathon )

It looked like a V6 to me - I caught a glimpse of what looked like the rocker stripes...and the car looked Gold, but the whole promo had a brown/orange theme in most of the night shots so maybe it was Legend Lime.

I though it looked gold too, but it can't be. It must be a legend lime. They show it from the back but it goes by so fast I couldn't tell if its a GT or a V6. Wait a minute, if it goes by fast it must be a GT, right?

Does anyone remember the premier episode?
It was a made for tv movie. The story line involved a modern day dracula. Scared the bageebees outa me.
There was a second movie called the Night Strangler.
The series ran one season.
Does anyone remember the color of the '66?
The original show airs on the Sci-fi channel at like 3 am.
Too lazy to go to the site to look.
