"Myth busting"

As wondering how much car parts like air intakes really help your mustang. I've heard both ways they don't work and they do. I've also heard it depends on what else you add to it like a tuner also would this help out my 5.0 2013 GT?

What's the difference between these and would they help

What kind of car do you have as in auto or manual, what kind of gears do you have? Those aren't really going to help you much unless you going to want to get the most out of your car. The Boss can help but it is just a key to the puzzle and the car needs to be setup around it to make a large impact.

If you plan to use your car as a daily driver, stick with the standard intake. The torque band is in lower RPMs than the other two intakes which are designed more for track use in the upper RPM range.

I have an auto and I was planning on buying other parts to build around it too, just wondering if it's worth it but it is my daily driving car

A dollar to you and a dollar to me have different values as does any horsepower increase gained with that dollar. The only way you'll ever determine the right answer to your question is to spend the dollar and see if the result is worth it.

You really have to want something bad to pay good $$ for it. I rarely do. Performance-wise my shaker hood is basically worthless. For the $2,000 spent to have the dealership install one when the car was new, priceless! I just like the looks. I doubt there is any HP increase. If so, negligible.

I can see, I was verifying he was aware of what he wanted.

And on a Auto car with a nice paired converter and full bolt on car should take you bottom 11's OP.

In my opinion, this depends on what your daily driving habits are - do you spend more time city driving or highway driving? Do you like to feel acceleration from a stop or while you are rolling? What kind of fuel economy do you think is acceptable? What is the thing you are trying to "correct" that is not supplied by the stock configuration? What's your budget?

Without these clearly defined, picking and choosing parts might lead you to an unsatisfactory result. Both intakes shown in your diagrams are good for the top-end power making at the expense of some lower-end torque loss as mentioned by rriddle3 if you simply just add them with nothing else.

For me, a daily driver needs to feel "seat-of-the-pants" responsive up to 60-70mph. Beyond that, it doesn't matter to me, as I don't drag or road race my car. Any performance driving situation for me would involve handling balance, stopping in short distances, and low- and mid-range acceleration pull.

Good luck with your decision!
