Don't believe the two posts above mine saying the effective offset would be 61.75 mm.

If your boyfriend is hell bent on using those wheels, a correct PCD can be drilled granted that the mounting pad has sufficient area. The use of steel lug seat inserts is highly recommended. The mounting pad can be shaved a few mm to increase the offset at the cost of strength, but it would not get significantly closer to 50 or 55 mm.

All these things considered, by then a set of wheels from Forgestar would be more feasible.
After reading the previous posts again I have to retract everything. This probably won't work. Any spacers that are added to the wheels will subtract from the positive offset not add to it. POS VETT is correct. Your definitely better off with wheels that are already setup for the Camaro.

Hm. I may be wrong too, in thinkin' it over a tad... Perhaps I was ill.

Whatever, simply don't do it. It's easier to just give in to "it won't work" than advise bein' unsafe or such.

Another hell-bent way to do this is to drill the hub flanges and the rotor hats in the correct PCD (i.e. Ford PCD of 5x114.3). Again, by then, might as well get correctly-sized wheels in the style desired.

See if ZR1-styled wheel is close enough. The C6 ZR1 wheels, not the C4 ZR-1.

Wow that is an excellent price on those wheels. Wheels and tires for the Camaro would only be $1788, no worrying about fitment or spacers!

No problem. Glad I could help. Even if it's a Camaro. Lol.
