I'll bet he doesn't get 100mpg.
I'll also bet he has water/steam injection and some other things too.
I will believe over 50mpg with the right set-up if he never hits the gas hard.
My dad's Lincoln get 100mpg downhill.

yea not enough info I don't believe 100mpg either. I would like to see someone do their best to get top mpg with an 05+ gt. I bet with a little effort it could get 50+ mpgs

i think that's bs, it his numbers were true, they'd be well known, that "off the line" answer seemed like it was made up on the spot, no matter what mileage it gets, 400hp wont get you to 60 in 3 seconds with a car that wieghs that much

looked up the contest that he is part of some 10millon dollar prize for a car that can do 100mpg, 0-60 in less then 12 sec over 100mph and fit 4 people. well his car does 110mpg 0-60 in a 1/4 of the required time and over 100mph....they might as well write him a check and the contest is still taking entries...

Yeah, when he was talking about his Grandfather coming up with the idea I thought "Water Injection" as well.

I'm not gonna judge it until he puts out some details, could be he found a new trick for old tech, could be he's dusting off something that was on the shelf for a reason.

Well if he's actually entering the contest, all of his claims will soon be verified or proven wrong. Just need to sit back and wait.

No need to sit around and wait, I already know the answer.

I hope he is right. That way the CAFE standards can be dropped and we can continue the cars that make tons of power and not have to worry about gas mileage. The ZR-1,SuperSnake,Viper SRT-10, Veyron,M6,Mclaren SLR,911 Turbo,R8,Skyline,NSX and so many others with performance in mind would be able to be produced without fear even in usa while en Europe people are paying more for gas.

60 years ago they had a Carburetor that delivered over 70 mpg. GM bought the patent and buried it.
I wouldnt be surprised if this was true, and I also wouldnt be surprised if they buried this as well.

Not true.

He is either doing water injection or I heard maybe a rotary valve train.

In this article it says he gets 80mpg. Which is still **** good. He says he can get more by running regular gasoline instead of E85 and detuning the power. I bet that's how he gets 110mpg.

true or bs it's pretty interesting. and if it is true i'd think the big three would want to get on it so they can start pushing all these trucks and SUV's out the doors again. it would have been nice with a little more detail though. hopefully we'll hear more on it.
