I back the Mustang in into the spot I have under a carport here in Derry, and I'll be backing it in into the spot at my condo once I move back there some time next month.
I made a point out of meeting both people that park on either side of my car here in Derry so we all know each other.

But when I take the car somewhere, I always look for an end-of-aisle spot so I can park on the line of the spot giving as much space as possible between my car and the next one over.

Or I'll look for spots that have a big pile of snow in half the spot and I take the spot next to it and park on the line dividing the spots. This way I figure I AM taking up 2 spots but I'm only taking up ONE actually usable spot.

Too funny man!!! I do exactly the same thing. Except, it's not with the Mustang. I do this with the daily driver. The 'Stang is the cruiser.

Drove my Mustang into work for the first time today. Took me a couple of tries to back her in. I could back my Regal into a spot like nobody's business. Still haven't gotten use to or trust the rear video camera yet.

I get into work at 6 AM and wound up on the third floor of our parking garage to get a corner spot. Use to park the Regal on the first floor.

Basically?

I PARK HOW I WANT!!
[/cartman]

I back it in the garage every night. I front it in the parking lot at work or wherever else. I rarely back it in anywhere else but home, but it has been done. I'm really good at it now.

I also can parallel park with the best of them. Except those slide around 180 parallel parkers, them guys/gals is teh ca-ray-zees.

Ive tried that in an empty parking lot and i could never get it. Either stop waaay to short or just completely screw the parking

*sigh* - my wife is like that, she'll park next to someone far away instead of giving space.... needless to say we've discussed her parking habits, and I of course was wrong.....
I bet that you thought you were marrying "Miss Right", when all along you were marrying "Miss Always Right".

No worries - we all do it.

I park in the most remote area of the parking lot (I have to walk 1/4 mile from my car to the front door of the building I work in), and I always back into the same space.

Generally, I back in if I'm parking against a curb because I have about 5 inches of ground clearance in the front. I've had the car a year next week, and I can count on one hand when I've parked with another car on either side of mine.

I thought turning it on its side was the best way to save space though???

Bingo that is what I do. I hate the fact that people dont care or respect others enough to not ding your car. I am pretty **** retentive when it comes to our cars.

I also pull in nose first.

Since my 06 was low in the front and high raking in the rear I got used to always backing in. Now with the 13 I tend to do the same.. 99% of my local club does the same at weekly meets.

Yea we try do same thing, but when you walk out there always seems to be some schmuck that parks right next to the stang..
Like there's probably half the other park lot open and he parks next to our car.
Can't they just blow off a mountain top..
I think our cars are magnetic for this kind of thing

I hate when that happens. At school I'll park on the top of the parking deck with a beam/wall on the right side to make sure nobody opens their door against the car.
