Mustang of the Decade
Given my choice, I'd take the 2000 Cobra 'R' over anything you guys want to throw at it. Imagine how much horsepower you'd have if you slapped a supercharger on it.

Mustang of the Decade is the 2005 Mustang GT. Most of the others wouldn't even be around if not for that car. I'm personally not a fan of the Saleen's, Roush's, etc.
If I had to pic a more limited edition car for MOTD, it would have to be the new Bullitt. I think that car brings together more than any other, the ties to both the past and the future of the Mustang.

I agree with you, Nathan. You'd think these cars were the end all of all Mustangs. I sure they're good cars but they have too much junk on them for my taste. I'll say this about the 5.0, if truly wants to go back to the car and motor that brought them to where thye are with the Mustang they need to come back out with an LX version of the 5 litre. A car with very few options and a price around $25K. $35 to $40K for a Mustang GT is ridiculous.

An LX would be awesome.
I do love the S197s, but I think it should have been limited to actual Ford models. No Roush, Saleen, etc.

From this list, the 2007 GT-500. It announced that Ford wasn't messing around, that this new generation of Mustang was going to take on all comers. The huge mark-ups that it sold for paved the road for big-money third-party cars like the Super Snake, and still looks fantastic.
That said, I wish the S197 Bullit were on here. Just too cool, and it will always get a big thumbs up from me.
