April 17th was the anniversary of the Mustang by Ford. Our car club, Inland Empire Mustang Club travelled to City Beach in Sandpoint, ID for a picnic together. Don't know the overall count of our club, at least several hundred I would guess. But 17 mustangs made the run to City Beach from Spokane, Wa. Those of us in convertibles couldn't run with the tops down, just too cold. Actually, it snowed like crazy the day before but was gone by time we got to City Beach.
No that's the only photo I took. I suspect the weather discouraged a larger turnout.. The beach they went to is on a lake 43 miles long with 111 miles of shoreline. Over 1200 foot deep at it's deepest part. Has had a Navy base on it since WWII. It get's pretty violent storms at times and I'm including a few photo's taken here over the years.
Lake has four distinct weather locations from different directions. This photo taken at City Beach. This photo at the end of the storm, across the lake from the park.
I'm a sorry dog. I live approx. 5 miles from the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and around 4 miles for the Mustang Owners Museum. I didn't even have a chance to get to either.
