$22.97 @ Wal-Mart

That's where I got mine a month ago... remember to buy an extra qt as the 05+ takes 6 qts

Its about time as well. I thought it must have been really popular when I couldnt find the 5 anywhere. Then I realised they just didnt make it. This will sure beat dropping quarts of oil all over Walmart as you try to juggle six jugs in your hands.

Just saw it about 2 weeks ago at my local wal-mart, I was very excited!! Now buying 6qts of Mobil 1 to do an oil change is bearable, no more gritting teeth as I go through the checkout!!

i've been to 2 superwalmarts near me and 5w20 is the one they never have.

 

I just read on Mobil's website yesterday that they are going to be making the 5-20 in Extended Performance formula available in 2007. Thats the stuff that they say is good for 15,000 miles. Heck, even if you change it at 10,000 miles it would save you time and money on oil. And I trust Mobil 1 not to make a crappy product and misrepresent the quality of it too much.

I look at it this way: Why would an oil company intentionally sell LESS oil, unless it REALLY WORKED?

When I got my car, (March 2006) I started looking for Mobil 1 5W-20 in the 5qt jug to no avail. I asked the counter guy at the Wal-Mart Auto Service Area (Yes I know, just focus on the story please) if they had it in the 5qt jug or if they planned on carrying it. The reply I got was "What car uses 5W-20, do they even make that"?
"Uhh, the 05+ Mustang GTs use it, you might want look into that."
Well I happened to be in Wal-Mart near my last oil change and viola, they had the 5qt jug $22.97. Snatched that and an additional qt up. Much cheaper now.

 

I forgot to check when I was in Walmart today. I have looked for it in the past visits with no luck.

Of course I park in the middle of nowhere when I have to go to a store.
Was all empty around me, and I came out and a goat was parked next to me!
Was ok, Im sure his thinking was in the lines of mine. ""Im sure this guy wont bang my door so Ill park here.""

Maybe he was looking for Mobile 1 too!

 

He was probably looking at his payment book and was figuring out how long it would be before he could buy a cool car like your's!
