How to park and avoid dings this holiday season :)

Thought I'd get you guys in the shopping holiday spirit. I had to shop for my kid's christmas gifts. Don't worry, I didn't line up at midnight like these other buffoons...lol. I went during a non-rush, regular day.

ppl are terrible especially this time of year... I did the same as u, as I was walking to the store I saw a newer Avenger back into an S Class Mercedes and he didn't even care... I wouldn't stepped in and reported it as a Good Samaritan, but that S Class was wedged in like all the other ppl that don't care so it should be a lesson learned

I see that all the time. It's crazy.

Oh another thing, when you park far away like my pic shows, make sure you are somewhat UPHILL and/or there is an inanimate landscape like a tree or center curb (with a tree, etc) to block a loose shopping cart!!!!!! I've seen that too. Cart rolling down and hitting a car.

Thats how I always park, even with my cheapo daily driver..or on the end , into the yellow striped area. I can't believe you even took the Stang out during this season!! I remember years ago a guy was parked in a new black Buick Grand National....all too late he saw a shopping car rolling towards his car and I was too far a way to stop it..he leaped out of the car but was too late...man was he pissed...

An 8-10 year old Indian kid got me the other day by aimlessly flinging his door open.

Btw parking far away seems to attract more attention. The Indian family was like "ooohhh shiny!!......, BONK!!

One time i was sitting in my car and this tahoe pulls up next to me and she swung the door open and shook my car and the lady was just like sorry and walked away... i was gonna swing my door open and dent her car but it would of hit that plastic step thing instead of the body so i got out and there was no damage thank god.

Yeah, put it away 2 weeks ago...was tempted to take it out when I saw the forecast, but glad i didn't as it was very foggy on a couple of those warm days and I would have had to detail it all over again....only 3 or 4 more months!!!

Already tried. Indian family go BYE BYE really quick!

Through all the red tape it will still cost me 250 bucks comprehensive and id have to go to a body shop and leave it. I may just find a dent less repair next year or live with it. The idea of taking off various parts of the car to pop the dent out doesn't appeal to me either.

It's really sad, people just don't care about anyone else's property. However, in my experience, people with Mustangs have the most pride and consideration for their cars and others.

That's only one of the good reasons to keep an ice pick in the driver's side door pocket.

I agree. Sometimes when I park really far away and alone, I come back and see three cars piled around me, like flies...WTF? Also, in some lots, I park far away, but morons fly by at 30+MPH criss-cross across the parking lot and miss my car by about a foot. Can't win.
