You got to be carful when trying to removed those kind of stickers due to them possibly being precut so that it tears if someone were to try and steal it.

To answer your question tho yes if you heat up the sticker so that it is warm and not too hot they will come off easier.

A heat gun, maybe, will work, but it's no guarantee.

I saw this used by a windshield replacement guy, and I use it to do Windows stickers to move from case to case (a rare, but sometimes needed use.): A razor, and extreme patience. Go slow, slice teeny slices at a time. Just have to dig a little under one side, then start sliding across with the razor, gently pulling on the sticker as you go to keep it 'flapped' back from the razor. You're basically going to cut the *glue*, not the material. Since there is glue left, it will then stick to the new windshield when applied, although a thin layer of new glue wouldn't be bad, as long as it was complatible...

Or just get it inspected, which here in Texas? Cheap. I'd just do that. The license sticker, though, I'd have to razor... ugh.

/not my favorite thing... windows stickers take 20 minutes to do...
//the new paper ones I've done I think once... *hella* hard...
///Disclaimer: **LEGITIMATE** uses only. No pirating, no stealing, no nefarious use whatsoever should be attempted with this method. I only use this to move Windows stickers from case to case when the color was wrong, the case too small to add stuff, etc, for an existing Windows install where the guts moved, but the installation was still legitimate. Or similar situation that was not evil, like a new windshield in a 10 months valid stickered car.
////Love the CYA this society makes ya do...

Heat on glass can cause it to expode . I`ve done it to thinner glass, when I did window cleaning we had used an acitone and a NEW flat edge blade to scarpe it off m have to maybe soak a rag even vinigar or acitone on a rag then it should scrape smoother. Always keep blade flat.

In my state, you can get a replacement sticker cheap.
You just need every in order from the last inspection.
It shows on the sticker that it has been replaced.
