HID Headlamps
HID Headlamps
Hi Mustang Fans! I have problems with my HID right Headlamp, it was working and then not, I used my car again and it work but now it does not work anymore. I bought a new D3S Xenon Bulb change it but it is still doesn't work. What can be happening? Can someone maybe help me? Do I need to check the wired and the Fuses? I have a 2017 GT/CS Mustang
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Probably the ballast. The HID bulbs require a module called a ballast that ignites and drives the bulb. Similar to a florescent shop light.

They're wildly all over the place on pricing. Of course, being in Germany, you probably will have a more fun time acquiring it.
That's not a guarantee that this is the problem. It just seems most likely given the intermittent issue, and the second bulb not likely having failed, unless the ballast killed it.
You might can swap your right and left ballasts and see if the problem moves, thereby verifying the ballast being bad. Maybe a little troublesome to do, but you probably should test it somehow before buying anything, right?
Hope that helps!
